Well with OK getting the 4th spot, Alabama had apparently asked for Miami instead of Dallas. Something to do with a fear of a largely Sooner crowd. Looks like my plans are shot.

Longhorns get Georgia in the Sugar Bowl... I am looking forward to this game. I think we can beat them. :!:
Terry, their defense is.real, Fromm is a very good passer and their running g backs are good too. They don't have Oklahoma's offense but they don't have Oklahoma's defense either. A lot of talent!
It’s more like Wolverines get the Gators in the Peach.... JH is licking his chops... a great opportunity to take some heat off his ass in the offseason.
Any of you guys watching the Garth Brooks concert at Notre Dame? It's on CBS. I like Garth and I think the stadium looks spectacular. Great for Notre Dame.
The Peach and Fiesta committees really missed the bus on their selections. CFU-Fla would have been a a solid match up that would have excited the fans of both schools. . Similarly, LSU-Mich have never met and that fact alone would have attracted interest. This will be the third time Florida and Michigan have met since 2016 and my guess is that the fans of both schools are a little blase about yet another game between the two teams.
Michigan fans may be ho hum another beatin is coming while Gator fans are full of justified trepidation....
Just got done reading an article on 'The Cowardly Irish' over on Eleven Warriors or whatever that Ohio State blog is. So much delusional butthurt. I know the Georgia fans think they're going to slaughter Texas. I guess like everything, we'll see.
oh, here's that article.. I just enjoy the butt hurt https://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/college-sports/2018/12/100108/the-notre-dame-cowardly-irish
 That's pretty good, but not as satisfying as reading the USC boards after they got whipped by UCLA's freshman team. They were positively suicidal...
I don't follow those kind of boards 'cause they're all full of ******** (I suspect ND's boards are the same). I get my sports jones from here. Unless you posted an incorrect link, that's not an "article" on the board but just one short post by a guy with an opinion. And there was surprisingly a lot of ND support in the responses. (OK...Along with some of the sour grapes you'd expect.) I mean...are you just looking for "butt hurt"? Most everybody I see and read around here agree with the committee.
Oklahoma has a long history with the Orange Bowl going back to the Big 8 tie in for the Big 8 Champion. So I don't think OU fans will have a problem getting to Miami, now they will be gouged big time by the locals for hotels and stuff. I wouldn't be shocked if the Cotton Bowl preferred Clemson and ND anyway due to the fact that both teams fans will have to fly in and rent hotels and eat in restaurants, rent cars, etc. OU fans could drive down for the game and go home afterwards, not good for the local economy.
Here's something to ponder. The guy who is tied with Bear Bryant for the most Nat'l Titles in the Poll era (1936 first AP poll), has never been named Coach of the Year. This year Dabo Swinney wins it. Poetic that a Clemson coach will be the recipient of the Woody Hayes Award as College Football Coach of the year.
