Ohio State took a big hit yesterday but their path is still there. If either Ohio State or Michigan are undefeated the rest of the way they will be in the playoff.

Notre Dame and Clemson looks like a sure shots.

Then an SEC team with Alabama being the odds on favorite.

Texas and Oklahoma in the running also.

Big game this weekend is Florida - Georgia. Winner likely in the SEC Championship game. But Kentucky has a path there also by winning out.

The Top 5 all have their fate in their own hands. LSU in reality probably has no chance though.

At this point my prediction would be, Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame with the 4th team coming from either the Big 10 or Big 12. Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas in the running for the 4th spot.

That is probably about the order I would see the seeding also.

There's a lot of football before the fat lady starts warming up.

Corey, I agree. If LSU can win out they will probably be in the final 4 although Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan and Ohio State can all day the same thing.

If LSU wins out there is absolutely no question that they will be in the playoff..... and so will Alabama.

LSU has the utmost national respect even now.... ranking 5 spots ahead of the team I watched beat them two weeks ago in Gainesville.

Winning out including a win over Bama and in the SEC Championship won't cause them to drop.... hell they would press an unbeaten ND and Clemson as a close behind third at that point.

So if you don't want to see two SEC teams in there you need to hope for a Tide win over the Bengals.

I think LSU is more like the team you saw in Gainesville losing to the Gators than anything else. I can't imagine a team that is offensively challenged like they are have a shot at beating Alabama. If they could only score 1 TD vs MSU and that was a defensive TD to go with 4 FG's, then I can't see them scoring enough to beat Alabama...a much better team on both sides of the ball than MSU.

Irish will have a hard time going undefeated the rest of the way even though they are favored in every game. They have a brutal travel schedule and are starting to get a little beat up on the OL which is not good. Plus FSU will come to South Bend with nothing to lose and they have a good roster, they will play the game of their lives I have no doubt. Plus as I mentioned in another topic USC is undefeated at home with Clay Helton as the coach. USC still in the battle for the Pac12 south, so they are likely to have some motivation to say the least to knock of Notre Dame if we were to arrive undefeated. They, like FSU, are a team that always has a roster full of highly ranked players.

Terry I agree with your assessment of LSU and Alabama is all-world this year.... way out of site of everyone else so it would take a Baton Rouge miracle and a few trick plays imported in from the grasseater for the Tigers to pull the upset.

Your assessment of ND's unbeaten chances also seems spot on.

Don't know if ND can still get in the playoffs with a loss.

My picks right now are Bama, Clemson, Michigan and Oklahoma
