ND <t>Wow, that article hits close to home for me. Real close. Being from a small town in southern Indiana myself, I can just imagine how people in his hometown must feel. Hope he does well for ND and for his hometown people.</t>
ND <t>Well all the media people jumping on the ND bandwagon makes me nervous now. I think it was better when they didn’t seem to think the Irish could win. Feels like walking through a minefield. God, I hope the Irish can find a way to win Saturday and leave Blacksburg alive.ðŸ™</t>
VTech will come out sky high and looking to keep the crowd in the game. I'm hoping the Irish come out looking for a fight and jump right on top of them out of the gate. If we can make them one dimensional, I think we have them.
Well that stadium is rocking and those fans are jacked up to the max. Irish need to get off to a good start and quiet them down.
17-16. That last drive Tech ran through the defense way too easily. Tech defense has the offense out of sync, and they are moving on our defense. Ole Mo is with them right now and they get the ball to start the 2nd half. Losing Okura to the targeting call is going to hurt in the 2nd half.
Really good win by the Irish tonight. The schedule lightens up a little for a few weeks. Nov. is going to be a coast to coast bitch.
The book on Book: 25/35; 271 yards passing 2 TDs 1 int... Ian Book finally made some mistakes. He tossed his first interception and missed several wide open receivers deep, but he's still the best that the Irish have by miles... Thank God for the seniors: Boykin, Mustipher, Williams all came up BIG when the situation was darkest...
ND <t>Well they played "Enter Sandman", hell the even brought Metallica in live via the Big Screen, brought back Frank Beamer after they unveiled his bronze statue. They dressed up like idiots with some mascot that looks like a turkey, jumped up and down repeatedly after a no doubt day of heavy alcohol consumption, yelled as loud as they possibly could, they even confused the team for a while but then the Irish decided they had enough of the nonsense and kicked some hoky or hokie or whatever they are ass and are now on a nice flight back to South Bend. Whatever that was back there in Blackburg Virginia will probably drink themselves crazy the rest of the evening until they pass out and wake up Sunday morning tryng to figure out how they lost the game. Here's a clue turkeys, you played Notre Dame and we don't give a damn if you have Sandman, Batman, Superman, Spiderman with you. You just got your ass kicked by the Fighting Irish! Now just go away.</t>
We could have dropped 60 on them had Book not been so jacked up and overthrew WIDE OPEN WRs/TEs who had literally no one around them. The upside is that he overthrew them and not under threw them Lots of unbeaten teams went down today. The Irish went to one of the toughest venues in college football and romped. There's a lot to be grateful for come Sunday service. Things could be worse and we're almost entirely in control of our own destiny.
Book was amped up and his deep throws were all over thrown but his short and medium throws are deadly accurate. He also took his first BIG hit tonight and bounced back fine. Williams adds a whole new dimension. I had no idea he was that fast and I've seen him play in person. Kelly kept his cool all night except for the one asst. coach whose ass he chewed for three quarters. Okwara had six tackles and a sack before his ejection. The defense did not miss a beat in his absence. This team is the real deal. Alabama stands alone at this time but I really believe the Irish are as good or better than anyone else.
ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> George, <br/> I didn't realize he had that much speed either until that run last night. He basically ran from goalpost to goalpost and no one caught him. <E></E></r>
