Where will Joe Burrow End Up

Now that Joe has definitely decided to move on with his football career, the question remains, where will he end up with two years of eligibility still remaining.

The first two visits have been set up for this week. He will visit Cincinnati and Luke Fickell. I really think Joe will opt for a bigger football college. His dad is a defensive coach for Ohio University, which has no ties, but he would be playing close to home. LSU is next over the weekend.
Personally, I favour Florida at this point, but time will tell. Dan Mullens was a former assistant to Urban Meyer and there would be some continuity in that decision.

If Joe opts to transfer to a Big Ten School, the conference would have to vote and extend a waiver.

 

I saw something that indicated that Dan Mullin is not interested in a Grad Transfer at QB.

Maybe with good reason, across the board grad transfers haven't really been all that great. I know at ND most have not contributed much, and Russell Wilson at Wisconsin is the biggest exception. I'm sure that there might be some that have done OK or well that I am leaving out.

LSU would seem like a good target for him, they have a new OCoord and no QB's have stepped up to seize the job as yet. LSU usually has good talent on the offense but they just haven't had that QB who can make a difference. Burrow does sound like he has that potential.

 

Terry, I hope wherever he goes, he can be successful and enjoy his final two years of eligibility. He comes from a good family, is very athletic and an honour student.

Was Coker a Grad Transfer or a Reg Transfer?

I have thought of another Grad Transfer, Trevor Knight at A&M. After both their QB's bailed on Sumlin the Aggies were desperate and Trevor's Transfer from OU was pretty successful.

 

Trevor was a great find for the Aggies, but of course there's a reason a player transfers... cuz you weren't good enough to start.

I doubt you find a Joe Montana as a grad transfer, but you can find a kid who can address a void in the recruiting pipeline and keep you afloat.

 

This kid can play and would be a great pickup for anybody with a QB void.

 

Terry, he was a grad transfer. He graduated from Fla. State and had 2 years of eligibility left. He didn't start his first year (Blake Sims) but started his second year at Alabama and led them a National Championship win over Clemson.
