So I guess everybody watched the 60 minutes interview. I don't doubt that much if not all of what she says is true. I'm somewhat skeptical of the anonymous guy threatening her in the parking lot, but it could be true. I do find it funny in a way that a Porn Star is now the face of courage against the President. She had a story and I couldn't quite figure out if back in 2011 she tried to sell the story or was approached to sell the story, she says she never got paid though. She does claim that the whole thing was consensual and that she is not a victim. She makes no apologies for profiting off of this whole thing, says who wouldn't. She does say that she made the 130K deal out of fear, and that was why she didn't negotiate ..which at this point we just have to take her word that she was offered 130k and not some other amount and did in fact negotiate it to a higher number. I do wonder if she thought about the 15K she never got the last time and that the 130K looked like bird in hand to her. But she says no, it was fear. But the real issue really isn't the sex, it's the pay off from Cohen and how that is going to play as far as election laws regarding contributions. Which I thought there was a segment where they said it takes years to conclude any investigation into this and the result is likely to be fines. So I don't know where all this is going. Trump is a pig of that there is no doubt, and I have to wonder how his wife has to be dealing with all of this. Maybe she talks to Hillary for support.
Presidential extra-curricular sex is as common as athlete's foot. The fact that this happened 11 years before he took office makes it even more of a non-event. I would not doubt that it happened but that whole interview was weird. She said that she was not in it for the money but that she sold her story for money. She then said she would never talk yet gladly accepted $130K. She said they had an affair and then turned around and said it was a one night stand based on him getting her on The Apprentice. Now she say can positively identify his Johnson. I would take her word for that as an expert witness.... she probably looks at a dozen of them up close every day.
It looks as thought Trump's attorney is throwing himself on the grenade to protect him. He claims that he paid the hush money. Already there had been a complaint against him filed with the bar association. Under the Conflict of Interest section of the Rules of ethics is: And as far as the interview is concerned what was the point? That Trump is not a faithful husband as other presidents of the past century such as FDR, Ike, Kennedy, LBJ and Clinton? It seems to me that he had a reputation of being a Playboy and who better for him to hook up with but a Playboy model? As George said it was a one night stand not an "affair" as Cooper referred to it. Maybe folks on the gay side like Cooper consider one night an affair.
I still don't see the big deal in this and I detest Trump. The Democrats have never understood the basic concept that the Clinton case was about lying under oath. Additionally, he lied under oath to evade prosecution and civil liability in sexual harassment cases. Trump is just unfaithful. Who gives a ****?
