No...it's like Jif said...on any given day. I actually haven't done very well in the March Madness Tourney over the years. And still plenty of time to flame out here.
Nobody really follows the Womens tourney, you can tell by the sparse crowds at the various on campus arena's for the 1st 2 rounds. Even at Notre Dame where the women usually do pretty well for attendance only had about 5K at their win vs Villanova on Sunday. Naturally everybody expects UConn to win, they are undefeated, they have played and beaten 5 top 10 teams this year, ND, South Carolina, Texas and Louisville and UCLA, as well as Stanford who is also in the Sweet 16 so they've beaten 6 of the 15 teams in the sweet 16 already. They could lose of course, like they did last year. But even I don't expect to see ND defeat them if we make it to the final 4 and play them in the semi's. Geno just has the best players and oh yeah he's the best coach.
I'm only in one bracket pool this year... the most amusing one run by our own George Krebs. It's a blast because George has a hidden talent as a funny comedian so he makes the pool a lot of fun. Anyway... out of 3 brackets that I submitted my "upset" bracket has 12 of 16 Sweet Sixteen teams correctly picked.... missing on Cinci, NC, Va. and Auburn. Consequently I am in first out of about 190 entries. I'm of course needing things to go my way in the next round but I have a pretty good shot at this thing right now.
