The way it appears to me is that anyone who crosses Trump over Russia is on his very short list to be run out of town. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/07/politics/tillerson-russia-meddling-midterms/index.html I don't about you here on this board but I wasn't naive enough to be duped by the Russians....
The Russians have interfered by sewing seeds of discord and discontent among Americans. Their goal is to get us so divided that all we do is carp at each other, blame each other, hate each other, and take sides. If you think that you were not affected by that then you truly are naive. We probably all have been affected by it.
Well we should have seen this coming, it wasn't just the Russians it was everything. While I was excited about Tillerson when he took the job, it wasn't very long before reports surfaced about things he said about Trump and he and Trump butting heads. So it's sort of surprising that he's lasted this long. As far as Russia, keep holding on to that thought that it was Russia that defeated Hillary Clinton, not her stupid strategy and her double dealing with the DNC to thwart Bernie Sanders. It'll make you sleep better at night. Economy is doing well and that matters. Trump is a pig, but the country is doing fine, better than under Obama.
For the record, I don't think anyone with a brain believes that. They both were deeply flawed candidates. Clinton lost the election on her own and because she brought more baggage to the table than anyone in her camp realized. She won the popular vote, which to me indicates that she did not run a smart campaign. The fact that she narrowly lost the electoral states of WI, MI, OH, and PA tells me she was sorely out of touch with the middle class. Trump successfully tapped into that angst in the states where it really mattered. None of that has anything to do with Russia. However, the clear evidence of meddling remains an issue on its own, regardless of the outcome of the election.
Always swept under the rug is the deep dark abyss the economy was in when Obama took over vs. where he left it for his very ungrateful successor who would undo everything Obama did if he could and take credit for anything good that he inherited from Obama. It's almost racist to me.... and I grew up in the south so I recognize racism when I see it.
And maybe they bought in to a circus shill who parlayed bankruptcies, tax evasion and daddy's money into a billion dollar operation cozy with Russians to boot? Oh... and I forgot the main reason Trump was able to muster enough swing state votes to eeek out the electoral win was this gem of divine judgement amongst the middle class..... probably coined by and promoted by the Russians.... "Hillary was evil". LOL
Anybody remember when Tillerson was chosen...how the media told us that it was a payback to Russia for helping win the election...because Tillerson was so connected with bigwigs in Russia?
Good points, all. Hillary's lack of attention to the middle class clearly cost her and Trumo, the billionaire, recognized it and quickly filled the void and won. Even as late as yesterday, in between pratfalls, Hillary characterized the Americam middle class as lazy and uneducated.
Hillz would have been god awful. I am absolutely no fan of Trump, but Hillz would have been worse. (read California)
