because he mixes a steady stream of cold hard facts, stats and football knowledge to come up with a good thesis.. this is his latest contribution on the 2 year marker evaluation of coaches at ND:
I enjoyed that article Corey. And I might add that I'm pretty impressed with Weis. 19-5 in his first two years is very good considering what had happened the previous couple of years. He took the guys the other guy couldn't win with and won. He is still playing largely with the other guys players and he certainly had a very good recruiting class last year. And I might add that the points agianst increasing could isn't that great but the fact that it increased a little bit might not be that alarming. Sometimes when you score more the other team does also as they may get more posessions, you may be playing more subs and a one point higher scoring average isn't necessairly meaningful any way. But I would agree your defense needs to improve. How has recruiting for defensive players been going? Anyway thanks for the post.
Corey.... <t>Thanks for the heads up. He sounds like me when talking about the programs defense. This just has to change or we will struggle as we do lose top performers this year on the offense that will not be replaced in production next year.</t>
I have it on good authority he brushes after every meal. Seriously, the time demands make it difficult for him to have time to just relax and exercise. Additionally, he has residual disability from that poorly done operation he had a while back. Half the year is preseason practice, season, bowl preparation and recruiting. In the summer, he's frequently a guest at ND local golf outings etc. On top of that he makes appearances for fund raisers helping charities like his own Hannah and Friends. I'll bet he doesn't have more than a week at a time to decompress during the year. I worry about his health too. (hey, we all can't be in top shape )
