No tears in Austin for the departure of Gene Chizik. His defensive collapse this year was a major disappointment. He refused to play talented freshman, he sold out his safeties to stop the run, result was an awfull pass defense. He's young and dynamic though, so maybe he'll have that Bobbie Stoops charisma and get things going pretty well in Ames, but if he does he needs to be looking upward because you can't sustain it in Ames Iowa.
