Well mostly in college you need to get them back and win 20+ games do well in the conference tourney and get hot in the NCAA
Tennessee lost the conference opener in single overtime to Arkansas. We lost two key players in the last two minutes of regulation due to fouling out. At that point, we were 8 points ahead and had led for most of the game. Arkansas took us to the woodshed in overtime.
Well the good news keeps coming: Aggie starting PG Duane Wilson hurt his knee against Bama, and is going for an MRI. Ah... what seemed like such a promising season is quickly circling the drain. :x
Good win for 10-4 Florida last night over the Aggies on the road and they are now 2-0 in the SEC and 3-1 this season vs. ranked teams. Building a better resumne for the NCAA tourney and they can only be better when the big inside presence of John Egbunu returns.
Well the Gators got well vs the depleted Aggies last night. KU got beat at home by Texas Tech, the first win at KU ever for TT. Now people are talking that KU might finally lose a B12 Championship. They have a lot of holes in this years team. Xavier took down giant killer Butler at home.
Ohio State remains undefeated in Big Ten play (3-0), following their 92-81 win at Iowa City last night, Our first win there in four years. Michigan State on the radar for Sunday afternoon here in Columbus. We will not win that one, but it will give us a great opportunity to see how good we can be.
Don, I've become a "kinda" OSU BB fan because of your coach, Chris Holtmann. I'll continue to cheer for IU and Purdue in the B10,,and I'm a big fan of Tom Izzo at MSU, but I've added OSU to the mix.
Sid, glad to have you aboard! 8) Coach has done a remarkable job in turning this team around in such a short period of time. The players are putting forth the effort and they have been a very pleasant surprise thus far. Media predicted we would finish 11th in the conference. I will be very happy if we can be in the top tier of the conference and make the NCAA Tournament
Well some upsets today... Duke lost to NCState a team the Irish beat by a lot at home this week. Xavier lost to Providence. Virgina is looking very tough as usual...beat UNC today. Short handed Irish beat Syracuse at the Dome Scott's Ag's lost to the Swamp Kitties on a lucky last shot. We are into conference play now. No undefeated teams left.
Still "playing" without 3 starters... Not sure if this team can get it's legs back at this point. Looked like it could be an exciting season, and it's now just the usual slide to nowhere...
#23 Tennessee is worth mention this year. They just last night took down #17 Kentucky. Tennessee was down by 7 at halftime. The Vols out scored the Wildcats 47 to 28 in the second half to win by a score of 76 to 55.
I can not believe MSU is only favored by eight points against the Buckeyes at 4:30. Time will tell, but I see no way we can compete with the Spartans at this stage of the season.
How about that Stu? Absolutely stunned not only by the win but also the margin of victory 80-64. We shot over 50% from the field and played great defense, I have not heard that much noise at the Schottenstein Center for a number of years!
