That's 3 pretty decent jobs opening up. Although I am a little surprised at Koetter, not because he's done such a great job, but that he finished 7-5 and they will go to a bowl game after beating their arch-rival AZ. Everybody always says ASU is a great job because they have no academic standards, they have willing women , they have climate, they are positioned to take players from both Ca. and Texas. Did I mention their rep as a party school? I wonder who they will go after? I wonder if they have the money to get after a serious big time candidate.
I'm a little surprised. Gerbil fans have been calling for Cooter's head all season, particularly after the blowout losses to Cal and Oregon. I had expected him to be let go, but with the win yesterday I assumed he had bought himself another year, what with the extension he signed just before this season, but apparently the boosters have spoken. Personally, I liked the guy being at ASSU and hoped he would stay. He'd be a very good OC for some program.
