Announced his retirement yesterday. Had a pretty darn good career. I remember him from his rent a year with the Astros, he was amazing and we all wanted him to sign with the Astros but his agent wanted him in NYC so he went to the Mets and became the most hated ex-Astro in history. He was roundly booed every appearance in Minute Maid, right up until he came back this season. He didn't have a great final year. He only hit .231 and 14 hr's as a DH mostly. And didn't get many AB's in the post season. But he reportedly was a good teammate and a veteran leader in the club house. Probably the most important role he had with the Astros. He and McCann were both acquired partly for their veteran leadership. He helped us get that 1st ring and it was a good time for him to hang'em up. Beltrans Top 5 Moments in his career
