So if Auburn wins tonight then against Alabama while already having two losses where does that put the playoff race...Meanwhile Wisconsin keeps plugging along undefeated...
Iowa puts up 55 points on Ohio State. Tonight, against Wisky, they have about 60 yards in total offense in the 4th quarter and the only points they scored were from two pick 6s by their great DB. What a difference a week makes.
With the Virginia loss today Miami clinches its first visit to the ACC championship game which by all counts will be against Clemson... The day is already going well and we haven't even played yet...
Can't believe how dominant Auburn was today against Georgia. They got on top and just hammered them. Not surprised by the Iowa score, that offensive explosion vs OSU was such an outlier for them this year, on the road in Madison that just wasn't happening again. Did you see that a BIG12 game broke out at the carrier Dome between Wake and the 'Cuse? 64 - 43!
Tennessee is playing pretty well. 1:15 left in the 1st half and Tennessee has tied the game at 17 points. I am happy with the effort at this point... Then the defense goes to sleep on a 3rd and 10 and Missouri is about to score.
Beginning to think I am talking to myself like that Indiana fan I believe it was several years ago. Tennessee lost. No surprise.
9 ranked teams go down, 2 of which were upsets to UR teams (ranking is CFP/AP): - #1/#2 UGA goes down (to #10/#10 8-2 Auburn) for their 1st loss - #3/#3 ND goes down (to #7/#7 9-0 Miami) for their 2nd loss - #6/#8 TCU goes down (to #5/#5 9-1 OU) for their 2nd loss - #9/#9 uw goes down (to UR/UR 7-3 Stan) for their 2nd loss - #12/#13 MSU goes down (to #13/#11 8-2 OSU) for their 3rd loss - #16/#18 Miss St. goes down (to #2/#1 10-0 Bama) for their 3rd loss - #17/#17 VT goes down (to UR/UR 5-4 GT) for their 3rd loss - #20/#25 Iowa goes down (to #8/#6 10-0 Wisc) for their 4th loss - #21/#24 ISU goes down (to #15/#12 8-2 OkSU) for their 4th loss It's kinda silly right now to be talking about 2-loss conference champions being out of the "race" for the CFP considering how few P5 0- and 1-loss teams there are left (6 P5 total). Four unbeatens remain: UCF (9-0) Miami (9-0) Wisc (10-0) Bama (10-0) Five 1-loss teams remain: USF (8-1) Memphis (8-1) Clemson (9-1) OU (9-1) UGA (9-1) Teams that still have a path to represent their division in their CG (or win the B12): ACC: Clemson vs. Miami B12: OU, TCU, OkSU, WV can all still get to the “B12CG” B10: OSU/MSU/PSU/UM vs. Wisc P12: WSU/Stan/uw vs. USC SEC: UGA vs. Bama/Auburn
Miami still has Clemson and ACC Championship Wisconsin still has Michigan and Big 10 Championship Alabama still has Auburn and then possibly SEC Championship Central Florida has South Florida ? and do they have a conference championship? They all have major tests. They could all finish undefeated or they could have 1 or even 2 losses, except for Alabama. Assuming Alabama beats Mercer next week, Alabama will finish with only one loss. If Alabama loses to Auburn that is the end of their season (11-1). If Alabama beats Auburn then they play in the SEC Championship game (12-0). So then if Alabama beats Georgia they are undefeated and if they lose to Georgia they are 12-1. Is anyone else in that situation?
Kyle, the SECW is the only division in which an undefeated front-runner has not yet clinched their division (P5 divisions only).
