The majority of Nebraskans want Scott Frost. The biggest thing is bringing back the original culture and those that understand it and loved it. Barry Alvarez reminded us of that in the fourth qtr.
Scott Frost is doing a good job down at UCF. I haven't watched any of their games so I don't know what offense he runs, but I'd be surprised if it was anything close to the old Neb Power I. He cut his coaching teeth with the Oregon offense, I'd think that would be his offense.
Big muscular corn fed white guys with a nasty attitude and thuggish fast and physical black guys toting the mail.... That was the Nebraska culture I remember. Black shirts mean't a hurtin was about to be put on somebody.....
In hindsight, Frank Solich should still be here.....but I know, water under the broken bridge of NU... There is no effort on this team, personally I think they've quit for the season. Before last Saturday's tunnel walk, Grant Wistrom was giving them a pep talk, and then when they came down the tunnel....nothing....no spring in the step, no obvious pumped up emotion....nada. Tough Tony Davis (Osborne's 1st 1000 yd rusher) was on the radio this morning. He blatantly said he doesn't think the current coaching staff can make it. He said the same thing we've been saying since Callahan; You need People who understand the culture, expectations, and commitment to NU FB. People who know when you look in the mirror and see the reflection looking back that says, "Know who you are"
Scott Frost took over a UCF team that was 0-12 in 2015 under George O'Leary. They currently are 4-0 (they've had some weather related cancellations) and are ranked 22 in the AP Poll. The guys done a great job in turning that program around.
Re: Frost Doc, im sure he's taken his teachings and experience to morph a offense into his vision of effective FB. Tom Osborne said he was watching what Urban was doing at Utah. Plus he's a native who won at the championship level, so he knows truly what is needed and expected. Gipper, im sold. Hope he's for sale soon.
All I have to say is thank God for open dates. Tennessee didn't have to suffer any more humiliation last week... Now this week, if Tennessee is in the contest, bet max points on South Carolina!!!
