Saban is starting to lose his **** on the media more regularly here in Alabama. You know kickoff is right around the corner
Les has said he'd like to coach again but it has to be the right situation. So I take it to mean he's not taking a job where he can't be in a good situation regarding recruiting and a tradition of winning. Won't be taking the Rice or Tulane jobs.
The happiest fan bases in college football http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/20369846/ranking-happiness-every-college-football-fan-base-2017 Just to pass some time while waiting for the season to commence. I would have thought Bama would have been first with their dominance.
That is pretty interesting, while it's no surprise that the teams that recruit the best have the best chance of winning, I'm shocked right now to see the Irish in the top 10. We certainly didn't perform like a team with a lot of talent last year. And certainly this year when you look at Clemson and Notre Dame having the same level of Blue Chip Talent and then check the recent results ..something is amiss...could it be coaching?
I do wonder what the future holds for Stoops. He's still pretty young could take a couple of years off to recharge the batteries and comeback and coach another 10 years. Certainly many Notre Dame fans are hopeful that he does just that, in South Bend. He'd be older than Lou who was 49 when he took the ND job, Dan Devine was 51, Ara was 41...so he'd be one of the older guys to take the job, the real question is does he still have the fire in his belly the ND job is harder than the OU job. Hey Les Miles is still available!
If you want Les, you guys are going to have to rip out the Field Turf and replace it with the real stuff...
Buckeyes lose their backup QB due to a broken bone in his right hand. not a major problem unless J.T. goes down with an injury. Backup now is a freshman with no real game experience. Amazing how things can change overnight!
I think there are 2 coaches this year who absolutely must win on the next level or they'll be gone. Butch Jones and Brian Kelly. Kelly has had a much longer rope than Jones, but the time is running out in Knoxville. Either they're gonna be Tennessee or Vanderbilt's rival. One of those is gonna get him fired.
