.....Its amazing that the two Major leaguers with the sweetest swings both played left field for the Red Sox! One everyone knows..( THE GREATEST HITTER THAT EVER LIVED!)...and the current rookie ( BENNY ). Too bad those of you from west of the Mississippi will only get to see him each year in the playoffs! The big problem is in two years he will probably sign with Yanks...The Mickey Mouse ball park in the Bronx is tailor made for him!
A lot of great young players in MLB, maybe this young man will value his relationships with the Sox and their fans and stay. Yankees are rich for sure but it's not like the Sox have a budget like the Astros.
It's hard to beleive that anyone whose ballpark has a left field wall right behind shortstop and barber pole down the right field line that you can reach with a lob toss could suggest that anyone else's park is Mickey Mouse.
Hmmmm.....if one was to draw a straight line from home plate to the top of the left field MONSTER..I wonder how the distance would compare to 90% of other ball yards.
Glad you asked. Todd Frazier just hit a ball over the Monster off Chris Sale. It landed in the first row. 360'.
indeed..catcher to pesky pole is 300 change..but look what happens as you get to straightaway right field!! Yankee playpen remains at 315 feet half way to center field!!
