    This is a class action suit and no personal rewards if the Federal Suit is won.

    I see it's over the use of players images without compensating them. Times sure are changing with regards to this aren't they. I do think that he's right though, it they are going to display their images with a commercial attached to them then the player should be compensated for or at least have given his permission.

    Terry,

    It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Apparently, Ohio State has been in talks with Spielman for about eight months, prior to the actual filing. Supposedly Ohio State offered to settle for a low six figure amount.

    Most accounts I have read tend to support Spielman and his endeavors.

    Good read Stu. I agree with Spielman, if OSU is monetizing his image he should have been given the opportunity to either agree and allow it or decline unless he was compensated. I haven't noticed to what degree other schools are doing this, but clearly you shouldn't be able to profit on a former player image with out his/her permission.
