An interesting article from USA Today about playing college football and receiving a great education in the process. Some of you may disagree, but some pretty good company in the ten teams mentioned.
Terry, That would be helpful would'it? http://college.usatoday.com/2017/07/07/best-colleges-football/
That is an interesting list, not really sure how they come up with it though. Certainly Duke and Notre Dame are the highest rated schools academically on that list being in the top 15 on the USNews and World Reports annual ranking of National Universities. But when you factor in football success certainly schools lower rated academically but more successful on the field come into play. That report cites Ohio State high grad rate but it's lower than either Notre Dame or Duke. And it's pretty shocking not to see Stanford in the top 10 or maybe even #1 given they have top notch academics and a very successful football program in the last 10 years. I'm pretty surprsed to see both Baylor and TCU on the list. Not that they aren't excellent schools and have had a lot of success on the field as well lately. But how you put them on it and so high and not rank Stanford is puzzling to say the least. I will say that even though I went to Texas and it's an excellent Univ and not ever rated in the top 25 I don't feel like I received anything but a top notch education.
