http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6188380 Damm...I hope it dosent stay that way. Florida at #4 and Notre Dame at 5. Im not looking foward to another Michigan-Ohio State matchup.
If Florida or USC win out...they should jump Michigan. If its between USC and Florida..no doubt they have to put Florida in the Title game. If it wasnt for a second half collapse by Oregon State that almost lost them the game...we wouldnt even by discussing USC. The arkanas game was before they got rolling and became a great team..and if im not mistaken..Mcfadden wasnt even playing. Heck..I'de even rather have Notre Dame in the title game than USC. Hanging around with an overrated Cal wasnt very impressive.
USC is No. 2 in both polls but dropped to 3 because of their computer ranking. If they beat ND, their computer numbers will improve and bump them into 2 nd place.
I'll be rooting for Notre Dame..but to win a close one so the pollsters dont boost them up to Glendale.
I'm feeling the love! If we win I'll send Bobda some Christmas Tamales as a token of my appreciation for his support!!
Swamp, it's obvious from the above post that your eyesight is limited, and you can't see anything beyond the Florida state line.
Gip, He criticizes USC for "...hanging around with an overrated Cal", and he ignores the fact that Florida was limited to 62 points by 1-AA Western Somehwere. He also dismisses their spanking of Arkansas before Arkansas became a "great" team. Interesting way to rationalize that early season intersectional embarrassment.
Sid Why is it I take a 1 loss USC team that played OOC games vs Neb., ARk. and ND more seriously than some team that played So. Miss, UCF, W. Car. and the invincible FSU?
Maybe it's because instead of playing at Auburn and at Tenn ( which smoked Cal) and currently#8 LSU at home the Trogs played at unranked Oregon State (a loss) and at Stanford ( probably worse than WCU) and home vs. juggernaut Washington (SC squeaked out a 26-20 win) sprinkled in with some other PAC 10 lesser lights. Yeah...that non-con schedule does more than make up for a pitiful excuse of a conference schedule....good thing for the Trojans they at least have some non-cons to play.
You mean Auburn who was beaten by Arkansas? The same Arkansas that was gutted by SC? Hell, they'll probably beat the Gators.
hahahahaha <t>SEC fans are funny.

Lots of football to be played kiddies.

Its funny to see the 'respect' Arkansas has gotten lately from my SEC neighbors down here.

4 weeks ago, they were the dirty, secret uncle of the SEC that looks at kids funny on the holidays and no one wants to talk about. Now they were just misunderstood?

I love to see the evolution of Arkansas....at first its 'USC beat them because Mustain wasn't the starter.' (althought both Dick and Mustain played lots against USC).

Now Mustain was hooked a few weeks ago for the 'big' SEC games and now Arkansas is good because Dick is the QB. What?!? McFadden is a great player, IMHO the best in college football. However, he isn't a 50 point swing.

USC beat them 50 to 14 up in the Hills where you guys swear its so tough to play.

This is the same USC program that went down and kicked Auburn all around the Plains (did Auburn cross the 50 yard line?) in yet another place that is oh so hard to play according to 'the experts.' Maybe if you'd stop filling your 12th game spot with one of those real Pac10 wussies rather than some coastal, directional community college, you might find out what its all about.</t>
I agree everybody wants to discount that beating in the Hills that USC administered to the Hogs. But USC was a young team, the lost a ton of talent, 2 heisman trophy winners...3 #1 draft picks. Their entire starting backfield was brand new. It probably could have been worse. But I do think that Arkansas is a better team, and likely so is USC. I do think it is interesting that everybody wants to forget the Ark loss to USC but nobody wants to forget the ND loss to Mich.
Funny how Florida won at Knoxville and the next best Pac 10 team Cal (supposedly) got the crap kicked out of 'em at K-ville. Arizona was smoked 45-3 by LSU and the Cats just got through beating Cal and Oregon. So..given that nothing changes over the course of a season it is a given that Michigan would romp all over the hapless Irish if the two teams played again so why even think ND could jump over Michigan into the BCS title game? That is preposterous.
Gee isn't it great that LSU and Tenn play OOC schools from other regions. It gives the Gators so much fodder.
huh? What are you saying, we all know that teams can improve or decline over a season for any number of reasons.
