UNC @ Duke tonight. Coach K back on the bench. Duke was pre-season #1 and has struggled a lot this year although they are still in the top 25. They have had injury issues to start the season, and then the Grayson Allen distraction and Coach K's back surgery. If they are healthy now they have the talent to start a run.

I lived for a year in Charlotte back in 1977 and UNC vs. Duke in BB was always a huge event.... a reason to have a watch party...

Duke with Grayson Allen beating North Carolina last night look every bit like the team they were supposed to be early on with preseason predictions.

Personally, I do not know if Allen has deserved all of his bad press, but he certainly is a gifted athlete. Time will tell, but the Blud Devils look almost unstoppable now.

Duke looked great last night, so did UNC It really was a great game to watch. As Don said Allen was very impressive.

Watched the last few minutes of Purdue and IU, Boilermakers pulled it off in a close game, pretty much ends the IU hopes for the NCAA tournament according to the anouncers

Gators win a big game against Texas A & M today. Keeps us in the hunt for a 3 or 4 seed. We have S. Carolina and Kentucky coming up both who we are tied with for the regular season SEC Championship.

With Kentucky not being as dominant as expected it looks like the SEC is wide open. Not a single B1G team in the top 16,very unusual.

UConn Women go for their 100th consecutive victory tonight vs a highly ranked South Carolina team. Won't make any difference, UCONN has great talent and the best coach in the womens game today (maybe mens and womens). They are unlikely to lose another game this year, sure it could happen but probably won't unless they have some significant injuries or a lucky game by an opponent.

But it's hardly a blip on the radar. Such is the fate of women's basketball.

It will be 104 at the end of the season, and then 107 after the AAC Conf tournament and if they go all the way it will be 110. Don't forget that UCONN has also had a 90 game winning streak under Geno. He has won 11 Nat'l Titles and in those 11 seasons he only lost a total of 11 games.

If they beat South Carolina, they will have beaten 6 of the other 9 teams in the top 10. So can't say they've not played anybody.

Even John Wooden's great record is maybe 2nd to Geno's. Even Nick Saban has to be envious.

I watched the last half of the West Virginia and Kansas game last night at Allen Field House. How in the world did the Mountaineers, who had a 12 point lead with less than three minutes to play blow that lead and lose in OT?

Baylor lost to Texas Tech last night in Lubbock.

KU win solidifies their lead in the B12 where they have won 10 or 12 straight confernce championships. It avenges the loss to WVU earlier at Morgantown.

Oh yeah UConn got it's 100th win.

I watched most of the UCONN game. It looked like they were not at their best against a very good team but they won anyway. Thats what the great ones do.

If you didn't watch Syracuse vs Duke you missed a hell of a game. Cuse won it with a last gasp bomb of a 3 point play. It was really a back and forth game most of the 2nd half, at Syracuse the place was packed and rockin'!!

Also just a reminder that on this day in History Feb 23, 1985 during a game with Purdue...Bobby Knight had his famous throwing the chair meltdown!!

32 years ago. Seems like yesterday. :D

I didn't watch the Syr-Duke game but I saw the replay of the shot.

Of lesser significance but still huge is Butler's season sweep of Villanova with a win last night in Philadelphia.

Things coming into focus as we come down to the end of the reg. Season.

Purdue looks like the top team in the B1G
UNC looks like the top team in the ACC
Kansas is clearly the top team in the B12
Villanova is the top team in the Big East
Gonzaga inspite of a loss to BYU is still one of the top teams in the NCAA
UCLA looks a lot like a big winner in the Pac12.

I hope I don't have to watch Bill Walton any more, but I probably will...that guy is a whack job.

The SEC is just too close to call. Both UF and UK look capable of winning the SEC tournament. Gators might be the better team on a neutral court.

UCLA is currently 3rd in the Pac12 behind co-leaders Arizona, and Oregon. They'll need some help in the regular season to take the top spot.

3rd in the Pac12...#2 in the Coaches Poll and #3 in the AP!!

Kansas is the new #1. They should win out and finish the regular season at #1. Probably make it to the B12 Champ game.

ACC has 7 out of the top 25 teams. SEC has 2. B1G has 2 Pac12 has 3 and the non-power5 have 7 and the B12 has 4

I saw one studio BB crew that predicted the ACC possibly could have 10 teams in the tournament.
