Mike Frank speculated on Power Hour that Denbrock might be leaving. That leads to Jamie U saying that Mark Helfrich might be a good fit. Said he was a good OCoord and had worked for a number of different coaches including Koetter at Boise State. Said his offense has not been a problem at Oregon, but there was no defense. Said he is an energetic recruiter and is given a lot of credit for developing Mariotta.

Jarron Jones has penned an essay on his time at ND. Pretty good read.

Good article in the Indy Starr on Brandon Wimbush.

<t>Good article on Wimbush Terry. sounds like a great young man and QB. I think he will do well. He needs a good QB coach now.</t>

Schools with the most commitments in the @AllAmericaGame:
    Alabama 8
    LSU 8
    Michigan 6
    Texas A&M 6
    Notre Dame 5

We're still hanging in the top 10, but I don't actually expect to finish there as we don't really have any more 4* or 5* guys out there that anybody expects to end up with us. Foster Sarrell still says good things about ND, but I'll bet in the end he stays on the West Coast at either Stanford or Washington.

The worst thing everybody says about this class is that we still have big holes on the DL. Esp guys who can rush the passer.

Cincinnati.com is reporting that the University of Cincinnati is going to hire ND Offensive Coordinator Denbrock for the Bearcats?

ND boards are reporting the same. He is a good coach, works hard at recruiting. Good luck to him.

WR recruit Jordan Pouncey just decommitted. He cited Denbrook leaving as the sole reason.

For ND fans, it has been an endlless nightmare since Alize Jones flunked off the team and the five got caught joyriding with weed and a gun. Those were the highlights of 2016.

At this point we are heading into 2017 with no depth, a new, untested QB, a primarily new coaching staff, a new defensive scheme to be determined and a head coach who's seat is so hot that it rivals the sun.

Watched the ND men vs St. Peters last night, again they struggle to finish off a team in the 2nd half and in fact were outscored by them 32-30. Now it could be that St. Peters was fired up, and the Irish were coasting and dusting off the cobwebs but they do need to get that fixed.

11-2 in non-conference, open up at Pitt on New Years Eve. If they go 10-8 in the ACC that would probably be a good record and with 21-10 they'd be in the NCAA's as something around a 6 or 7 seed. Hopefully they'll do a little better than 10-8, but they will have to play complete games and not just good 1st halves.

I'll be interested to see how this goes. This guy is a bonafide OC and Kelly in the past, has stuck to his offense with the OC being someone who pretty much being a recruiter, or coach in name only. This guy doesn't run the same offense as Kelly. As I said, I'll be interested to see how this pans out.

I don't know Tim, I guess we'll find out pretty soon. I never paid any attention to Memphis this year.
