Thanks Bobda. We got some breaks on some calls and non calls. (See Coreys note). But none were blatantly terrible calls and Crazy John is mad about that last spot. I think the ball was too close to overturn the spot and too close to call it a terrible spot. Let's go with favorable. Ignoring that spot I thought we showed up better in the OT periods. But if we made those FG field goals I would have said we won a game where we were outplayed. Anyway a typical UM OSU game. I'm drained.

The spot was exactly where the ball was when his forward progress ended. It was confirmed upon review. I'm sorry, Bobda. Harbaugh clearly is an outstanding coach, but he's a whiny asshole who doesn't know how to lose with class.

Terry did you see the post game press conference? According to Harbaugh, a bad spot was the reason they lost.

I'm a Harbaugh fan, which conflicts me, but I am guessing his moment was the one in which he picked up a 15 yard penalty. I happened to agree with him but the throwing of the play card, in concert with the slowmo 'Oh f************ck you' that ended with a slammed headset probably is the moment he's referring to. It hurt his own team because it was 15 free yards when yards were hard to come by and put the Buckeyes in a goal to go situation.

I said "whiny" not "whinny" although he does look a little like a horse.
If you watched the post-game press conference and still say that, I can't help you.

Oh well he'll get fined for public criticism of the officials, but @ 9M annual salary it was probably worth it. Doesn't bother me all that much... but bottom line they lost so doesn't matter what he said and I'll bet UM fans are glad he said it.

Refs didn't throw a pick six and for all purposes a second one. Refs didn't get a sideline penalty for losing their cool. Refs didn't fumble on the one yard line.

Ok I'll add the "bad spot" game to the collection of Michigan loss whines I have in a drawer. There's the SC scored without the ball game, the Mich. St. the clock didn't move loss, there's the trip in the endzone no call loss, and on and on. My personal favorite is "the wind stopped" loss.
After years of watching ND get screwed by Big Ten refs in Ann Arbor, I just have to laugh at Harbaugh today.

    Stu,

Agree. Spreight''s two picks resulted in 14 Buckeye points and his fumble on the goaline cost us 7. Our mistakes cost us a game that was in our grasp.

That said, Harbaugh and his staff has done a tremendous job last year and this year. As long as he is in Ann Arbor, we will be in fine shape.

His manical competitivemess plays a key role in his being an outstanding coach but probably does not serve him well in a post game press conference after losing in double overtime to your biggest rival. Woody and Bo also did not grade out well in responding stoically to tough defeats.

Bobda don't get me wrong. I agree with everything you just said. Believe it or not I like Jim Harbaugh. You will be a force for years to come.

Bobda, agree on all points. Indeed, as I was watching the presser I was taken back immediately to many tortured moments with Woody after losing a heartbreaker.

He is cut from the same cloth as Bo and Woody. This was the first of what I hope will be many, many classic encounters between these two tremendous coaches and competitors. What an extraordinary game.....an outstanding effort, a shame that one had to lose. Hats off my friend.

I'm sure it won't be the last time he gets reprimanded and/or fined.
