There is an article out there that says Kelly is on the short list for the LSU job. They prefer Jimbo Fisher or Tom Herman after that Brian Kelly. I don't really believe it myself, but rumors are rumors.

I've seen reports that the Mad Hatter is on the Baylor hot list.

Baylor is trying to keep the image clean, aren't they? The Hatter loves a good salvage project. I don't think the future HCs at Baylor will be given the benefit of the doubt, due to the misgivings of the last staff.

Oh, and in case anyone was wonder, my son's buddy had a great time. "Loved it" were his actual words. So fingers crossed on that one... I'd hate to see this kid wind up at FSU.

Well things just got peachier!! The NCAA finally settled that academic's issue that resulted in the "Frozen Five" kids. The net for the Irish is we have to vacate all wins in 2012 and 2013 seasons. Kelly's record just got worse.

    Terry,

It has been a difficult year for Notre Dame on the field and this ruling just adds to the fire. I would not wish this on any college program.

And all of this occurred 4 years ago. Players at ND now paying for something that happened when they were in junior high. Why would it take 4 years to make a decision?

Actually the investigation started Jul 2014, Five players were implicated and of the 5, 3 never played again for ND. Devaris Daniels, Kendall Moore and Ishaq Williams. Kevarie Russell was reinstated and played the 2015 season and one Eilar Hardy was able to play later in the 2014 season and then left for Bowling Green as a graduate transfer.

I have no problem with schools getting sanctioned after the culprits are gone. There doesn't seem any other way to try to deter the violations. Unlike the Dunbar matter this one seems to have merit. If Kelly wasn't on think ice before, this might turn up the heat.

I'm pretty sure it was just the one girl who was a trainer. If I remember correctly she was Kevarie Russels girlfriend at the time. She graduated from ND and I think went to IU for law school.

If this is ND's punishment for self reporting this academic issue, then what will UNC's punishment be for covering up, denying, etc the 10 years or more of worse academic fraud. Oh wait they haven't had time to punish UNC yet. There was a UNC basketball player who detailed all that Roy Williams knew about it and ignored it. I wonder if UNC will vacate wins/championships?

Oh yeah and didn't the NCAA reward Penn State by restoring all the wins that the took away for the JoePa/Sandusky deal?

Terry, that's precisely what I have been waiting for in this situation. Somehow, I just knew we'd get bumped to the front of the line. Just watch, they'll refuse to punish NC because 'so much time has passed.'

    BTW, you misspelled Rape State.

The investigation started in 2014 but the infractions occurred in 2012 correct? At least 4 football seasons ago and maybe 5.
