Is it already week 12? Wow the season has gone fast. There are a lot of very meaningful games left both for the CFP and for access to the New Years 6 bowls.

    Starting Thursday Night.

Louisville at Houston. Presumptive Heisman winner Lamar Jackson brings his talent to Houston to play the previously highly rated Cougars with their next Urban Meyer coach in Tom Herman. Cougars have struggled since getting knocked off by Navy and I don't expect them to put up much of a fight vs Louisville. It could get ugly, Louisville knows it's needs a big win here and Jackson needs a great game to cement his trip to NYC.

    Friday Night

UNLV at Boise State. The Broncos need to win out to get to the New Years 6 game for the Group of 5. They need to win impressively as well. If they can win out/Mtn West Champs I think they get in over WMU even if WMU is undefeated. Look for Boise to give UNLV the blues!

    Sat!!!

UTSA at Texas A&M Aggies reeling after back to back losses in Nov, again! Nov hasn't been kind to A&M since the 11-2 season a few years ago. They need this game, and UTSA should be an easy mark.

OK State at TCU ...big game for the B12, OSU has only 1 loss, to Baylor, and is another team that needs to win out. For them even though they are #11 in the CFP I see no chance for them to get to the playoffs, but they have a definite shot at winning the B12 championship. TCU is out of everything, playing for next year.

Ohio State at Mich State...this was the game that derailed the Buckeyes last year, that's not happening this year. MSU is a shell of the team that beat them last year and has virtually no chance. Buckeyes roll big.

Maryland at Neb ...Huskers still have a chance to win the B1G west, Wisc has the tie breaker but if they can win the next couple of games and Wisc stumbles they will be in, Huskers win handily.

Wisc at Purdue....Badgers in the drivers seat for the Champ game and an outside shot at the playoffs. Purdue, not so much, mostly just trying to finish the season and find out who their next coach will be.

Miami at NCState... a couple of teams who are out of their conference races and no doubt want to win to set up next year. NCState coach is on a little bit of a warm seat reportedly. Richt just getting going. Don't know who will win this one, Miami is my pick.

Fla at LSU ...big game for the Gators, I'll have to have Kes explain all the permutations for the SEC East. Suffice it to say Gators need to win. LSU will be up for the game since they feel the Gators tried to dodge them with the Hurricane Matthew ploy. LSU defense probably too much for a weak UF offense.

Oregon at Utah...every game is big for Utah, they have to keep winning to make the Pac12 champ game. Oregon got blasted again last week, these are the last days of Mark Helfrich and they still don't have a defense. Utes.

Texas at Kansas....finally a team the Longhorns can handle no matter how poor some of the game day decisions are from the coaching staff. D'Onta Foreman goes for 300 yds, Texas wins big.

IU at Michigan...who will trot on the field at QB for UM? IU isn't a bad team, so while I don't see an upset in the making it might be a closer game than it ought to be if O'Korn is the QB, or it could be a blowout. Michigan wins.

Stanford at CAL ...The Game. Stanford after a rocky start to the year is finally back to playing pretty well and while they have no shot at the Pac12 championship, they could finish strong and get to a good bowl. CAL has an offense but not much of a defense. Cardinal.

Wash State at Col ...The game of the week in the Pac12, both teams in contention for the Pac 12 championship. Both absolutely have to win this game. Do the Cougars do well at altitude? Seems like this just might be Wash State's year. No Coogin' it this weekend.

Clemson at Wake Forrest...Deamon Deacons pay for the sins of Clemson losing last week.

Chattanooga at Alabama...I think Saban can rest the 1st team, maybe even the 2nd team.

ASU at Washington. Huskies shocked in the upset loss to USC, won't happen 2 weeks in a row. Is Todd Graham on the warm seat in Tempe?

Penn State at Rutgers... Nit's keep the hope alive at a bad RU team.

OU at WVU...Sat night in Morgantown, now this is a huge game for everybody, OU is undefeated in the B12 and if they win out and the cards all the right way they might have a shot at the playoffs. So could WVU. Morgantown is going to be crazy, they are bring in couches from all over Appalachia in anticipation of either winning or losing. I have a gut feeling that WVU can pull the upset here. Light'em up boys.

USC at UCLA ...USC on the rise, UCLA going the other way. I won't be shocked it USC put's an epic beat down on the Bruins. USC Coach Clay Helton who took over mid-season for Sarkesian and was named the HC after the season, was in hot water after the shellacking to start the season by Alabama, followed by losses to Stanford and Utah has righted the ship and looks like he's going to be a good hire for them.

    That's all folks!

Actually pretty easy at this point:

UF wins the SECE if they beat LSU OR Tenn loses to either Mizzou or Vandy.

Tenn wins the SECE if they beat Mizzou AND Vandy AND UF loses to LSU.

See you Louisville, Houston up 31-0 and you look undisciplined and Jackson probably can stop working on his Heisman speech. Of course we're still in the first half so there is still a glimmer of hope

Isn't Michigan State a traditional pain in the side of Ohio State? Serious question, I'm trying to rattle the cobwebs here.

Yes, Corey, a real pain in the ass over a number of years! Bad weather, which is predicted for tomorrow in East Lansing, like here last year in a three point loss.

I will be elated with just a win period on the road.

I must admit I was very surprised how Houston throttled Louisville last night. All of those lost fumbles and penalties did not help their cause either.

And what's up with Houston? They look like a million dollars the first month of the season, then they look like a dollar ninety eight, then they come out of nowhere to absolutely dominate Louisville? Jekyll and Hyde!

11 sacks for Houston last night. I'm guessing Lamar Jackson won't be taking his OL out for dinner this week. :)

#10 for Houston really looked great last night, true freshman. If he keeps playing like that he's going to have a big future. Funny thing is that he didn't really look that big, but he did look very fast.

I don't think any of the other 9-1 teams are at much of a risk for losing this weekend, so it should be Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, Washington. 4 teams for 3 slots, with one of Ohio State and Michigan being eliminated next weekend giving Washington the opening if they can win out. Other wise a 2 loss team will sneak in .

MSU always seems to be a thorn in our side. Datonio's decision to go for two turned out to be our savior. How a team who has only won three games put up that much opposition today is a mystery. hats off to that effort! Nasty win for the Buckeyes, but thank goodness we survived the ordeal.

Crap Kansas beat Texas, if it was basketball it would be OK they are KU and we played them close....but KU football one of the worst teams in college football.

This is the end of Charlie Strong at Texas, he's done after TCU. Tom Herman come on down.

Utah and Wash State go down as well. Esp surprised at Utah, Col is a good team so not a huge shock.

Gonna watch OU/WVU now...snow fluries in Morgantown AND a pregame fight when the OU players went and stomped on the WVU logo....Oh yeah some couches are going to burn tonight!

Gawd, the Aggie offense without the threat of the QB running is atrocious.
I doubt we score on L$U.

    Ugh...

Ugly win in horrible weather for the Wolverines. If Spreight cannot play next week, we will need a superlative performance from our defense in Columbus as I do not forsee our offense having much sucess against the Buckeyes.

Alabama played uninspired and UT Chattanooga played a heck of a game. Their defense was very good and they were able to run the ball more than I expected. Alabama's defense got no sacks and gave up a lot of yardage. Hurts needs a lot of work at qb. His passing is just ok, when he actually throws the ball. He pulls it down and runs the ball when he has open receivers and the zone read has turned into a qb sweep. Alabama would not have beaten Auburn last night. :x
