Thanks Scott and thanks to all the men and women who have served their country in both war time and peace time. Special thanks to the Greatest generation who is passing from our midst more and more each day. Went to a funeral recently of an old patient who passed at 91, he was a WWII Navy vet, and we lose more of these valient men and women each day as those left are all in their 80's and 90's. Lt. O'Keefe, USNR circa 1971 San Diego Naval Training Center.
That was actually colorized, for some reason it was a big deal at the base photo shop. The guy talked me into it, paid extra. I don't know the process to tell you the truth, but for some reason it was popular.
Yeah Adm Zumwalt loosened up the hair regulations after I went on active duty, I accidentally went to the base barbershop and told the guy just neaten it up a little...got a shock when he gave me a regulation haircut. It was the shortest haircut I'd had since my mom used to get all us boys a buzz cut right after school let out in May so she didn't have to pay for any more haircuts in the summer. Last time I trusted a Navy barber!!
