Wow what a game...going to OT, Vols have used up at least 8 or their 9 lives! Aggies had a great drive to get a fg to win and the kid blows it. We've had everything...Aggie fumbling through the endzone, he was cruising for the winning score and probably never thought anybody could catch him much less punch out the ball...but they did. Very exciting game. I like the Vols in OT, they are really rolling on offense.
What a game. Aggies win. Vols just couldn't overcome all the turnovers, the Magic finally ran out for them. Great game.
Alabama's defensive line is the key to our success. The will stop the run and if they can pressure the quarterback it is over.
Holy cow, Washington has put up 63 on Oregon and there is a lot of time left in the 4th qtr.....exorcising a lot of years of frustration tonight.
Poor Brady. Washington put 70 on his defense in Eugene. The Tar and Feather brigade is going to be loud and angry in Oregon.
I've tried telling you guys about those PacNoWest rivalry games. Those guys freaking hate each other and show all the mercy of a conquering Indian tribe. I don't know what it's all about, but it's fun.
The Hoosiers came to play and play they did, at least with their defense. They had us on our heels more often than I would like. The spread of +28 points was ridiculous. J.T. did not have much of a day passing the football but did amass 26 carries for 131 yards. Way too many carries for his own good. His timing seemed to off on several overthrows that would have been TDs. Our defense was stellar and that was the difference in this game. We best be prepared for the Badgers Saturday night!
Don, as an IU fan I was pleased with the team's performance. It looks like they finally have a defense that can compete with anybody. This was a huge test, and they performed better than most thought they would. Coach Meyer said that it was the best IU team he's seen in his time at OSU.

I couldn't make it for the whole Wazzu game, went to bed Coogs up 14-3 figured they'd Coog it some where and Stanford would get the win. But what do I wake up to? Coogs beat them soundly. Bet Kes made it the whole game!
I almost picked Wazzu, but I've read so much here about "cooging it" that I figured it was in their DNA. Shame on me.
Many games still on tap but so far it looks like the Apple Cup in Pullman may decide the Pac12 North champion.
One other point on this week's games is Kelly's insistence on running his offense no matter the circumstances. Hard to comprehend the hardheaded decision of throwing the ball 28 times playing in a driving rain with 30-40 mph winds while playing on a grass field where the pooling water made it look like an ideal place to fish for bass. I remember watching years ago Joe Thiesman throwing for 500+ yards against USC in a game in LA when weather conditions turned the field into a mud pit but that was a turn-water -into-wine performance that is still talked about 45 plus years later. Usually, a team playing in impossible weather conditions will try to grind out yards on low risk plays since the winner of those games is most likely the team that turns over the ball the least.
T - yep, scott and i made the entire game. Got home from the aggie game right at the kickoff (2 hour commute for what is 20 minutes on non-game weekends). It was a fantastic weekend. Sid - it is in coug dna. Unfortunately, this likely means that karma is saving up for when it will be a truly heartbreaking moment. They definitely showed how good they can play, a dominating performance. Now i hold my breath to see when they will coug it.

Bobda, I think I can answer your question about why we threw 28 times. We had no running game. As I saw it, we were in a state of desperation for 4 quarters. We have a QB (Zaire) who is an outstanding runner and whose game IMO is more suited to the weather we encountered, but he was in for one play. This is the first game in Kelly's 7 years that I am flustered by several of his decisions and non-decisions. It's the first time in 7 years that I am questioning his leadership on the field. I sure hope I'm wrong, but unless there are drastic changes in attitude and practice in the remaining games among the players and the coaching staff, it doesn't look good.
I continue to be angered over what I call stupid football. For example, ND gets a turnover deep in NCS territory. The offense comes on the field, no one pays any attention to the 30 second clock and we get flagged for delay. Further on in this same "drive" we have not one but 2 illegal procedure plays moving before the snap. On third and long we throw an int. A very good scoring chance is pissed away by stupid football. Almost unwatchable.
