Looks like serious considerations by various sources, are giving the idea a great deal of thought, due to eliminating potential injuries.

This is a double edge sword. I have always been in favor of the kickoff return and college football will longer be the same is the rule is changed. On the other hand, I can not argue too strongly if it eliminates serious injury to only one player.

Regardless, the rule would not go into effect until the 2017 season, if adopted.

    Any other opinions?

    Piecemeal changes won't help.

That will be taking away playing time from lots of kids who play on special teams.
