    Texas hired 53y/o David Pierce from Tulane to be only the 5th Longhorn Baseball coach since 1911.

    He coached the last 2 years at Tulane and previous to that was 3 years at Sam Houston and was an assistant at Rice. He's a Houston guy who went to St. Pius X the same school as Gary Kubiak.
