She was one of the great coaches in any sport. Sad to see her go like that, it's a terrible disease.

RIP. She was one of the greatest coaches of all time in any sport. Won the Olympics both as a player and as a coach. She recruited a couple of Indiana HS Miss Basketballs and coached them to NCs.

She did a lot of good for a lot of young ladies. We were lucky to have seen her in action. :(

I feel like I've lost a family member which in a way is true. She was an icon. A legend and probably along with Manning, the best ambassador a University could ever ask for. RIP Coach.

It's a loss for everyone, but our hearts go out to the Vol nation and her family.

A real shame that the world lost Pat as a coach and as a person. She was one of the best coaches of all time in any sport.

RIP and thoughts and prayers for her family.

I've lost a grandmother and a mother-in-law to Alzheimers but they were in their late 80s.

This is a tragedy..... way too young.

    Condolences to the Vol Nation.

    :(

She was the idol of generations of female athletes and one of the major reasons why female sports are so popular today. It was impossible to root against her.
