Thankfully he only dropped to the early 2nd round. Very deserving young man.</r>

Needless to say I haven't thought much of Jerry Jones over the years. But, I've got to say this was a generous offer to a really nice kid. I hope Jones is rewarded for his gamble.

A good draft for the Irish, quite a few who didn't get drafted signed as free agents. Will Fuller getting star treatment from Houston media media, Nick Martin expected to be a starter.

Irish Baseball loses 2 of 3 to the Ohio Bobcats, hopes for NCAA bid fading.

    Lacross loses to Duke.

Irish draft brings the all time total to 492, second only to USC with 493.

Ishaq Williams has made the Giants' roster following a tryout.

Meanwhile, baseball continues its freefall with consecutive losses to Pitt. The wheels are coming off.

Gip, Sid if you put in for the lottery, could you ask for Texas tickets. If you get them and don't have anybody to sell/give them, I will buy them from you.

<r>In ESPN's season projections they seem to have us at 10 wins with only a 25% chance of beating USC and a <B><s></s>45% of beating TEXAS??<e></e></B> I guess a new <B><s></s>OC with a new offense<e></e></B> and a stud <B><s></s>freshman QB on his first game<e></e></B> are suppose to beat the Irish in Austin. Interesting.</r>

Yeah I was a little surprised by the Texas prediction. I think they are factoring in the talent we lost to the NFL, and the renewed enthusiasm in Austin with the new Offensive Staff and that Freshman Spring Phenom!

But Texas should have a better defense, and their OL will be better and they do have two RB's who are very good and showed some stuff later in the season.

I don't expect a 38-3 blowout, but I'll be surprised if Texas can win.

Kid is only 14 and already on his way to his 1st Million! Developed a unique Vending machine!

I didn't see your post about the Texas tix until now. I'll be at that game as a guest of a friend who's a big Horn fan. I'll try to dig up a couple for you. Hope to see you at the game.

<t>ESPN is at it again. The same ESPN that gives Texas s 55% chance of beating the Irish in the opener have ND at #9 in their way to early pre-season poll while Texas isn't even in their top 25! I know I'm paying way to much attention to this when the first game is still over a hundred days off but really, what are they smokin over there at ESPN?&#128540;</t>

Mike, glad to hear you're making the trip. Thanks for keeping a lookout for tickets for me. I have a lot of family making the trip, not sure exactly what the plans are right now, Texas tailgating is more in parking garages for the average fan. Although there is an area designated for tailgating that is popular, just that you have to be somebody or know somebody to get one of the spots.

Tim, I've seen several of those early top 25's and we always come in #15 to #9 or so. When I read that ESPN one and they had Clemson moving up to #2, I looked at what they have coming back and it's interesting they only have 3 defensive starters coming back, but of course they have Deshaun Watson coming back which is why I think they are #2. We have 5 defensive starters coming back and a veteran at QB in Kizer plus an experience backup in Zaire.

Right now I'm excited for the Irish Invasion that is coming up, it looks like they will have a good group of kids coming in for it and a lot of them recruiting targets. I see that Robt Beal will be coming, so we might even have an outside shot at him.

Interesting development, Tyler Luatua is returning to Notre Dame. Apparently he never really left, he'd was enrolled for the Spring Semester and he stayed and finished. According to Anna Hickey he realized he made a mistake and talked to Kelly about rejoining the team and he's back.

Not sure what to make of it, but I think it's a good thing.

I'm glad Luatua is coming back, not sure what this means for Jacob Matuska who lost a bunch of weight to get ready to play TE after being DL for his whole career here. TE is now super stocked.

Symthe, Weishar, Jones, Luatua, and Matuska.
