Took too long but finally UF's coach McElwain admits what has stuck in my craw since the Jan. 1st embarassment that I had the misfortune to witness in Orlando... "McElwain said the 41-7 loss to Michigan in the Citrus Bowl has been, and will continue to be, motivation for the Gators. “It makes you really excited to get going on spring ball and get that taste out of your mouth, a miserable taste that was embarrassing,” McElwain said. “It was embarrassing the way we played. It was embarrassing the way we took the field. It was embarrassing the way we laid down. That’s what’s great about spring practice.” That lousy performance ranks for me as one of the top three all time putrid games I have seen the Gators play. 51-0 to Georgia in the 60s in a pouring rain.... 63-14 Homecoming loss to Auburn in the 70s 41-7 to Michigan at the end of what was a very hopeful year.
Any comments on the status of Harris or the other guy? No doubt that game had to be not only hard to watch, but also surprising to the fans
Calloway, the most exciting gator on the field in my opinion....Kinda curious myself what took place, grades???
Calloway is no question the most exciting offensive Gator player since Percy Harvin. I truly hope this is temporary.... we need this guy.
It apparently has to do with Title 9 and an incident that took place in December. I have no problem with the University investigating an incident, but it seems to me that when you suspend a student because of an alleged incident and if it then turns out to me untrue you cannot give them back their semester or so. Strange to me. Here's a statement from his lawyer that at least lets us know what is happening.
Obviously the Title 9 Commandant at UF is a huge football fan who just doesn't want Calloway hurt in spring practice....
