He's offically announcing his retirement this afternoon. He's really had an amazing career, one of the all time greats. I'd rather have Joe Montana but Peyton is up there in the rankings.

I wonder what he'll do with the rest of his life, I can't see him coaching even though he's a true student of the game. I doubt he needs the money, and I'm sure we'll continue to see him on TV in various commercials, he's really good at them. TV commentator? Maybe.

Maybe he'll buy part of a team and become an Owner or GM. I could see him doing that.

Remarkable career, and he's from a great family. I watched the 30 on 30 about Archie Manning last night and they really have been a great family. Archie and his wife really did it right.

Needless to say, here in Indianapolis he's being extolled as the reason for the Colts' return to relevance. He is admired here as much for what he's contributed to the community as for what he's accomplished on the field. I'm sure it's the same in Denver albeit for a shorter period of time.

I'm sure that the major networks are all trying to get him as a member on their Sunday pregame shows. He'd probably be very good as a color man on broadcasts.
I wonder if he could step in as an OC since he always seemed like one on the field.
And lastly he's probably popular enough in Indiana and Kentucky that he could run for congress.

I'm slightly surprised that he said that he and his family were making Denver their home. Not that Denver isn't a great place, but I thought he might move to the South either back to New Orleans where he grew up and his Mom and Dad live or to Nashville, maybe even back to Indianapolis.

Well Megatron has offically retired and didn't even have a press conference. Just released a statement. He's made a lot of money, hopefully it's been well taken care of as I don't see him having the same post football opportunities as Peyton and he's only 30 so he has to make his money last a long time.

No doubt he'll do something to make money, I don't know his personality and whether or not he'd be a good NFL analyst or not and guys like him don't often go into coaching. I wonder if he has a degree?

Megatron is a real level headed individual. His dad works for a railroad and his mother has a doctorate and works for the Atlanta schools. I think one of his sisters is a doctor. I read an article about him a few years ago. In the off season he was living in an apartment in Atlanta. He was proud of his ability to invest most of his salary for life after football. I got the impression that this guy is a pro in life outside of football.
I'm sure he'd be better than Michael Irvin or Keshawn Johnson on pregame shows if he wanted to do them. He a bright well spoken guy.

Well they just let Ditka go from his NFL Countdown slot, but they already filled it with Matt Hasselbeck so that job is taken. I've never really heard Calvin speak or know anything about him other than he's an awesome WR. Sounds like he'll be ok though, not one of those guys who's broke 5 years after they quit playing football.

I read he got the boot for criticizing Obama. Probably blacklisted by the tolerant media.
