An article about one of my favorite people. This explains a lot about why Gators love this guy so much. Tebow Hosts 200 Proms for 32,000 Special Needs Kids
When it comes to being a good guy and role model, Tim Tebow has no serious rivals in sport. Nice antidote to the childlike, mean spirited displays we saw in the recent Super Bowl.
I saw a news report on TV about that. His parents are missionaries, and it looks like he's become his own kind of missionary here. God bless him for his kind heart and his immense generosity. Football was good to him, regardless of how it ended. It provided him with a foundation for doing God's work.
No AJ.... Tebow is also the anti-NFL Qb as well..... But you might be right about Denver.... http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/02/peyton-manning-worst-super-bowl-50-quarterback-ever# Tebow's lifetime passer rating in his two playoff games is 90.00 Peyton's rating in this past Super Bowl was 56.6 I guess even Tebow could have won with that defense.....
Yep, Peyton Manning was never any good. He will never live up to the Super Bowls won by the almighty Tebow. Dave, you just don't know how to keep your head out of your ass!
Why one could actually come to the conclusion that football is a team game. So even if the QB is on a losing team it isn't all his fault? Amazing!
Well let's break this down to when we were kids and picking players, I get first dibbs on Manning..... Hope he enjoys retirement and he and his brothers kids carry on the tradition of the family way.....
Peyton had a great career, and his legacy is set. It's too bad there is a retro smear campaign going on right now to try and tarnish him. I do hope he retires, the playoff run by the Bronco's was on their fabulous defense and Peyton being a game manager. It's time, he's clearly not the QB he once was but he can still manage the game and minimize mistakes and allow the defense to do it's job.
Tom.... you always act like I am the one writing these articles and coming up with these stats. Always overreacting.... If you have read my posts this season I have had nothing but praise and admiration for the courage and skill exhibited by Peyton Manning and I would probably have amazed you at my Super Bowl party the way I was cheering for the guy during the game with Carolina.....at the end of which by the way he came up with what I consider to be a very very important stat... .... a win.
Dave, you search this forum and find where I have had an issue with anyone... anyone besides you. You, long ago, proclaimed your hatred for anything Tennessee. You know, I did the same thing against Florida long before I met anyone on this board. However, once I actually met a few Gators, became friends, and am actually the godfather of a Gator, I put away those childish feelings. Now I only despise one Gator... YOU! The one that after I, behind the scenes, worked with you to get you back on these boards and you then continued your antics. Several people that I consider friends left the Skybox because of YOU. So yes, I take your crap personally. I have seen that you will never change your MO. So when you supposedly start cheering for a Tennessee icon, it sickens me. I have news for you... Tennessee nation does not need, nor want you to ever back a Tennessee product... Ever! No, you do not write the articles, but you sure seem to take pleasure in searching them out and skewing the facts with your Gator classes.
Be that as it may Tom I it doesn't change my view on Peyton Manning. One helluva Qb.... a man with heart and in spite of your post I don't regret being happy when he won the Super Bowl. Lots of people were making spirited if not volatile comments back in the day. It's been many years since then. The fact that I wouldn't back down from my views and kiss ass is always what got under your skin. Still feel that way just don't see the point of a fight anymore.
Might be AJ, if we could find a location. But I am not particularly optimistic at this point as a lot of us have aged like the forum has. MCG, fine other people may say the same thing. But you have said it over and over and it's time to let it go. Tebow is not going to play in the NFL as a QB. If he had been willing to convert to a TE he would likely be playing. However in my opinion the world is much better off with a Tim Tebow doing what he does now. So any further discussion about him and football on this topic will be deleted, unless my fellow moderatos disagree of course. What I didn't post but was going to is that we attended a Tebow event here in Franklin at our Performing Arts Center, which is a state of the art facility build by a civic minded citizen who has numerous properties and businesses here in Franklin. That was Sat night and the proceeds went to his foundation. Then I found out yesterday that the next morning he spoke at three services at a large church in Orlando the next morning. He finished speaking at 8:30 PM and had to go to either Asheville or Atlanta airports to fly out. Both are about two hours away. Tebow in Franklin Tebow In Orlando the Next Day
Nice story Bill. There also something to be said for being a game manager and playing winning football....... like Peyton just accomplished.
Hey Ralph we did have a meeting arranged by Huskerman. It was in Kansas City and we all attended a Royal Baseball game. I would love to do it again but doubt it happens.
