I said this elsewhere... but it is worthy of posting here. These rock stars of the 60s, 70s and 80s abused serious narcotics to profane levels. The fact that they lived to 69 is nearly a miracle. That isn't to diminish the loss of life and the art that life gave us. At the same time, they had a pretty good run considering what they were putting in the tank.
I don't think any of these folks gave much thought to grand kids when they started out. I think growing old never occurred to them. I've seen Tom Petty up close and I can tell you that a lifetime of self abuse pays no heed to success. You gotta pay the toll.
Keith Richards is either 1. A Demon 2. Actually dead, but the drugs are still causing basic functions to perpetuate.
