Glad to hear you finally won something Terry! Seriously I like the first five stadiums, but if you did this twelve times, you probably would have twelve different winners?
something people continue to overlook is that our starting QB is going to get a shot come Spring. That QB is not Kizer. We are/were a different team with Zaire. We were much more physical offensively and that created some passing lanes because the run had to be respected. We'll have to see how he returns from the injury, but if you saw that conclusion to the Showtime series, Kelly hasn't forgotten about Zaire.
Rumors starting to circulate in this area that the next coach of the New York Giants may be Brian Kelly.
Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee during last week's Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State and there is also fear that college football's best linebacker may have suffered nerve damage, which would further complicate the rehabilitation process. Smith, who is scheduled to undergo reconstructive knee surgery on Thursday, has not yet announced a decision on the 2016 NFL Draft or if the injury will extend his career with the Irish.
Some are thinking that he could decide to come back to ND next year and sort of prove to the NFL that his rehab/surg was perfect and he's worthy of a top 10 slot. But it also exposes him to that the surgery wasn't perfect and he is not the same player as before, sadly. No good outcome here for Jaylon. He's going to drop like a rock in the NFL draft and it'll cost him some money. To me he just needs to still go to the draft and take the deal and then hopefully prove to be a steal and when he gets his 2nd contract he gets paid the money he deserves. While I like Kelly in general and feel he's done a good job at rebuilding the program to where we can see some good things going forward. But I don't see anything he's done at ND that makes him a candidate for an NFL job. He doesn't bring an innovative offense like Chip, nor a defensive toughness like Saban ..both of whom failed to light it up in the NFL. Not to mention Petrino and Spurrier who were better college coaches than NFL coaches. Now Pete Carrol has made the jump and so did Jimmy Johnson. But Kelly isn't either of those guys.
