I'm looking foward to the game Thurs. You gotta root for the Knights. Growing up in NYC there always was a feeling of closeness with those across the rivah. We learned years ago that there was no light at the end of the tunnel, just Joisey.
I'm a Rutgers fan on Thursday night. I'm even going to watch old episodes of the Sopranos to get in the right frame of mind! Terry
I think all of college football will be rooting for Rutgers on Thursday. It's easily the biggest game ever in Rutgers history. I hope that they are able to handle the distractions and noise leading up to the game. Schiano has been pretty good with his workmanlike approach but it's not hard for some of the players to get caught up in the hoopla. I'll have to give you my take on the game, the pros and cons, what RU is good at and where they are vulnerable.
8) State College of New Jersey fans in action... Rutgers cheers: Card section- What R U Looking At? Echo cheer- (statement) We R! (response) Who Wants to Know?
They are going nuts in New Jersey. I'll be interested to see what the TV ratings will be. Rutgers is getting attention even with the New York City media. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFRWLdmTwHI Schianoville http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJW4ZjCi3Ko
Rutgers Mania!! I sure hope the game is a lot different than last year. I didn't realize how badly Louisville beat RU.
Rutgers actually outplayed UL in the 1st half. They were down 21-5 at the half but UL got a gift late in the half and the Rutgers D burned out in the 2nd half with no offense to support them. It was QB Teels 3rd start. This year he's not making many mistakes and is managing the offense well but UL still has the ability to blow them away only because they both play aggressively. There's a few differences between this years team and last years, so I hope for a much better game, but I don't think RU will win.
