Game On! Who'd have thought that Temple would be ranked in the Top 25 and undefeated when the Irish roll into town. They are helping our strenght of schedule, even if we beat them they have some games left that could result in them finishing the season ranked and Champion of the AAC. I don't really know what to expect from the Irish after a week off, will we come out strong and put them away early or will we battle them for 4 quarters and pull out a win. I looked at the LSU game vs W. Kentucky and said would I be happy with a win like LSU got and moved up in the polls with? They led 14-7 at halftime which would be very uncomfortable for me, but then they pulled away in the 3rd qtr and won 48-20. I'd rather it be like the Clemson/Miami game where we get a big lead at half time and then cruise with backups in the 2nd half. But the real goal of course is to win and move on, even if it's a 1 point win.
Irish did pickup an "preferred" walk on, Ryan Parker, who is pretty good. It was his dream to play at Notre Dame, has opportunities to play at Air Force, Navy, and some other minor programs. But would rather walkon at ND. He sounds like another Joe Schmidt. http://www.irishsportsdaily.com/2015/10/24/parker-will-live-out-dream-at-notre-dame/
ND <t>As I mentioned before Temple doesn't look very good to me. They look sound but not much at all offensively in the way if big time playmakers.</t>
  Temple is a veteran team playing at home. I watched their game with Penn State and they're not a fluke. It's true that they don't have a big time home run hitter, but it's also true that they're an experienced team that makes very few mistakes. They're not going to give anything away. We have to take it away from them. This is the best team in the history of their school and they're not going to go down without a fight...
Irish, at least on paper, to face much tougher defenses in 2nd half of season than the first half. Irish offense has matured for sure, with Kizer getting more confident each week. Offense, esp the OL and CJ Prosise will need to stay healthy to maintain the level of scoring that we have had in the first 7 games. http://www.csnchicago.com/notre-dame/notre-dames-offense-will-face-tougher-challenges-afer-bye
To paraphrase Lou Holtz's philosophy, all we have to be concerned with is being the best team in the stadium on Saturday, whoever is the opponent.

ND <r>Here's a nice stat to know:<br/> <br/> Notre Dame is a perfect 15-0 all-time when playing on Halloween day. <E>8)</E> So maybe they make it 16-0 on saturday?</r>
Should be perfect football weather in Philly Sat night. I hope the team is not just rested, but fired up to come out and stuff these guys early. Like many ND fans I'd love to see Wimbush in the 4th qtr along with Nyles Morgan, Tevon Coney, etc. But need a good lead to do that, Temple has had big comebacks in the 4th qtr, including their last game vs E.Carolina. So can't sleep on them, but still would be nice to see some of those guys get playing time.
Well Notre Dame will make it's last payment to Chollie come Dec, nice christmas present for him, about 2.5M. Here's a list of one man's opinion of the worst dead money deals in sports...clue...Manny Ramierz isn't #1. http://espn.go.com/moresports/story/_/id/13994794/in-honor-charlie-weis-notre-dame-20-worst-dead-money-deals-sports
Rough first half for the Irish, even though we lead 14-10, it should be at least 20-10 or more. Temple selling out to stop the run and it's working, except for Kizers long TD.
#8 ifor Temple is putting on a clinic at MLB. Plus I think he has made every tackle on special teams.
Hats off to the Owls they played their asses off tonight. Wasn't a pretty win or even an especially well played game by the Irish... As a wise man said win and move on.
