Justin Fuente the Memphis coach just got even hotter with that ass kicking of SEC Ole Miss.

    Wazzu rolls!!

Ohio State rolls...Has J.T. Barret earned the starting job?

TCU and Baylor win, again. With offense and not a great defense.

Texas did not lose today! Although there was a BBQ in Bevo's honor today. :)

I guess if the UM punter had just fallen on the ball instead of trying to kick the clock would have run out on MSU. I hear the couches are burning esp brightly in E. Lansing tonight.

Just found out that the Gators were beaten by a classic Les Miles fake field goals. The Mad Hatter strikes again.

Cougars first half (6 passing tds and a fg, scoring on all 7 possessions) was enough for the win. Second half was our typical cougar bs. More special teams miscues.

Yeah, final td was a fake by lsu, turned out to be the game winner.

I certainly hope so as Jones performed like he was lost and did not know what to do next. We do so much better with the read option offense and J.T. at the helm.

No turnovers was a plus for us as well.

    Scott,
Kind of what I felt like after the Ole Miss game.

Coker did his job by not turning the ball over and Henry ran for 240 yds. Our kick coverage sucked but our run defense is pretty damned good. A win is a win and we move on to Tennessee. :)

Kyle I said as much at the end of the day - the universe was giving you back all the weird stuff that happened aganst Ole Miss. Now I want it to set us right when we play them this week!

Note: Henry (who is an absolute stud) had 150+ in the first quarter got only 80 the rest of the way.
Our defense bowed up big to give us a chance only to see the offense implode over and over.
    Spavital needs to go.

    Scott,
Yeah, the question becomes, can A&M put yesterday's loss behind them and win out or do they dwell on it and let it drag them down. For Alabama, this is the essence of Saban's "process". The last play, the last game, the last season are all irrelevant and should not even be discussed. All that matters is the next game and the next play. If a player executes his task on the next play and it succeeds, then the score and the result will take care of itself. Easier said than done, though.

It's always darkest before the dawn. Don't be shocked to see a Sparty loss and a Michigan win over Ohio State to screw it all up.

Maybe AJ can say something. Didn't the Huskers lose one in the final seconds?

    I agree Corey.

I think it is likely that OSU beats Sparty in Columbus and M-OSU games in Ann Arbor are usually nail biters even though the Buckeyes have dominated the series the past 15 years.

I am happy with the progress this team has made this year and am greatly impressed with the job Harbaugh and his staff has done rehabbing a demoralized program and fan base. Better times are ahead. And the last 10 seconds of the game provided a good test for my cardiac stent.

Also am feeling guilty about my comments re the punter. The poor kid's twitter account was bombed by abusive fans to the point the the president of the university issued a press release condeming the idiots who posted the abusive posts. The social media has its positive side such as this forum which provided me the opportunity to become friends with great people who I never would have met prior to the internet but certainly has its dark side, also.

What the hell happened to Georgia? They were the Beast of the East this season...but now they just look like another 8-4 team going to a bowl of some sort.

I just looked at the MSU/UM stats...how was it that MSU was down at the the end of that game, it looks like they should have won going away.

TOK, The stats are a little skewed by a 75 yard pass eminating from a short pass in the flat to the MSU fullback. Plus, M, until the last play, had a large advantage in special teams play.

I thought both defenses played sensationally. M's offense in limited by Rudock's inability so far to throw deep. State did a nice job shutting down our running game and taking our tight ends out of the passing game.

On Alabama, that defense of theirs is going to take them a long way this season, it's just so dominant right now. But I think Jake Coker and that offense is steadily improving and Coker is evolving as a tough guy QB, some of those runs he made against A&M where he just ran over an Aggie remind me of Joe Kapp. Now of course sometimes being that tough guy QB leads to injuries, so I'm sure Kiffin would just as soon he slide.

With the Aggies throwing the ball 45 times and their QB's being under fire...does it seem odd to anybody that A&M didn't get called for holding one time? Either refs looking the other way and feeling sorry for A&M QB's or A&M is one disciplined well coached OL!!

Id say its likely the Aggie OL was pretty clean - considering the number of sacks and pressures the Tide got.
Then again they only called Bama for one hold when Garrett got the sack ANYWAY.
    :p

I just realized that the Longhorn punter who fumbled the snap at the end of the game vs Oklahoma State that lead to the Longhorns losing in the last seconds of the game...was an Australian punter. Those guys need to stick to golf, tennis, rugby, cricket!! :)
