Uh... ok but Georgia plays in the SEC East as well.

And those others are certainly beatable for the Vols.

I just have to hope that Muschamp's real defense shows up again this Saturday vs. Tenn. in the SWamp because Ill be in attendance.

Should be fun.

Hey not saying Tenn can't do it.

Get past Florida on the road.... beat Georgia at home and then take care of business against other SEC teams that the Vols should be favored against.

That would be the formula for the SEC East crown for the Vols.

Hey if Missouri can do it twice in a row, why not the Vols?

Well I guess anything can happen, but Georgia is looking really good. They have a Sr. transfer QB who is playing very well and Chubb who if he doesn't get injured is the 2nd best back in the country only behind Superman at LSU.

I think Tenn has to beat either Ga or Bama to have a real shot at the East title.

However.... if they beat UF then they could lose both and probably win the East anyway over Florida because UF is more than likely to lose to Ole Miss, LSU and Georgia.

But then again Georgia has the inside track because they will be favored vs. both UT and UF.... and if they beat both I don't think the Dawgs can be denied Atlanta.

I'm certainly not proud of the showing of the P12 so far this year, but it appears they're in pretty good company. This week's rankings by conference:

• ACC – three (FSU, Climpson, GT)
• B10 – four (OSU, MSU, NW, Wiscy)
• B12 – four (TCU, Baylor, OU, OSU)
• P12 – six (UCLA, UO, UA, UU, USC, Stanford)
• SEC – six (Miss, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, A&M, Mizzou)

Perhaps ten was a bit of an over-reach??
Code:

Overall records:
Current record
Conf	Perfect (3-0, 2-0*)	Winners (2-1)	Losers (1-2)	YIKES! (0-3)
ACC 5/14 7/14 1/14 1/14
B10 5/14 6/14 3/14
B12 7*/10 2/10 1/10
P12 4/12 8/12
SEC 6*/14 5/14 3/14

*LSU, Baylor, WV

Obviously, pre-season scheduling isn’t the same across the board, but even assuming most teams will play down in early-season competition, the P12 and (to a lesser extent, ;P) the SEC and B10, took care of business. The B12, and worse, the ACC, have some bottom feeders already. I expect the P12 to have one more week where nobody has a losing record (the losers will drop to 2-2 before accruing a losing record, and WSU has a bye next week smarties).

How things change in a year. Last year at this time both MSU and OSU had lost games, MSU to Oregon and OSU to Va.Tech. They were out of the top 10 and most people said they had little or no hope to make it to the playoffs. The most common refrain was other than each other neither had any good teams on their schedule ( Hear that jif!! ).

Now Ohio State and Michigan State are 1-2 in the rankings and could stay there till they meet later in the year, assuming they both continue to win.

I was just kidding, you didn't have to delete it, but that one is almost as bad as the "kick six". I tried to put a bullet in my head Saturday night but just like Alabama....I missed.
