Can the LSU Auburn game matchup with the Oregon MSU Game? Notre Dame will have a new QB with Kizer at the helm. Georgia Tech will provide a tough test for the Irish.

Alabama and Mississippi State tops the SEC games.

Penn State should have no difficulty with Rutgers, assuming they have enough players left to field a team?

Ohio State has Northern Illinois here in Columbus. I hope we look better this week.

I was listening to the MAC commissioner this weekend on XM College Sports. He said the NIU/Ohio State game was the premier MAC game this weekend. NIU I guess is one of the best MAC teams again this year.

He was loving the Toledo win over Arkansas esp after the Hog Coach complained about Ohio State's schedule, then loses to a different and much lower rated Ohio team.

Besides the ones Don listed some other interesting games.

Clemson/Louisville Can Bobby Petrino start 0-3? Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! :)

FSU travels to B.C. I don't know if BC is good/bad or what.

Air Force at MSU ...another option team, but MSU defense is built to handle things like Air Force.

Illinois at UNC ...Illini have out scored opponents 96-3. Think things might be a little different on the road vs a FBS opponent.

Northwestern at Duke ...another academic bowl. Duke is undefeated and so is NU, both have solid well respected coaches.

Va. Tech at Purdue....Va.Tech QB can't throw the ball might be a chance for an upset by the Boilers.

Neb at Miami....hey Ralph have the dogs sniff any packages you get from AJ this week! :)

So.Carolina at Georgia....Spurrier lost his QB, lost to Kentucky, I think another loss is coming here...ole ball coach not going to be happy. He used to own Georgia, never lost to them as a Gator.

Texas Tech at Arkansas ..been a long time, since SWC days that Tech has made the trip to the hills. Tech QB's as usual are lighting up mediocre competition. Inspite of the loss to Toledo I expect the Hogs to win.

Gators at Kentucky...been since the Roosevelt Administration that Kentuck has beaten the Gators, but they did beat So. Carolina last week and the Gators didn't exactly run over E.Carolina. Could be interesting.

CAL at Texas...huge game, that Rice win as flawed as it might have been was much needed, now CAL is a different animal. They have a legit QB who is thought to be the best NFL prospect. They are 2-0, I'll bet they are licking their chops. Longhorns can't afford to regress and have another ND type game. They need to play like their hair is on fire and beat them some way.

Stanford at USC...in the Harbaugh Days and the first couple years after he left this was a great game. But I'm wondering if Stanford is sliding slowly backwards sort of like Miami did under Larry Coker after all of Butch Davis players finally graduated or left for the NFL.

Ole Miss at Alabama. kp says 'Bama has problems, no QB, defense is questionable. Well Ole Miss has a QB, don't know if they can go into 'Bama and win. But we'll see.

BYU at UCLA. Can UCLA stop the Hail Mary!! Are they the last team with a chance to beat BYU. Might be a great game. Too bad BYU is playing with the backup insead of Tyson Hill, but then the kid seems to have a knack for winning in dramatic fashion.

On paper Ole Miss and Bama should be a really fun game to watch.

I do expect Kentucky to be all UF can handle because UF proved again Saturday night you still do not know what to expect with them.

I think too much of my bird dog than to risk him sniffing a package from AJ, Homeland security may need to be brought out....

From a football aspect our defense is suspect and after watching how good BYU really is Nebraska may just kick our tails....

I just hope not because another year losing to the Huskers will be painful...

Haven't heard from AJ in awhile, I guess with the Cardinals dominating baseball he's on a higher level now than us proles down here! :)

BTW: Heisman Hype is starting to heat up... ESPN Heisman Watch for this week.

    1. Nick Chubb RB Georgia
    2. Derrick Henry RB Alabama
    3 Cody Kessler QB USC...boooooooooooooo
    4. Ezkiel Elliot RB Ohio State
    5. Treyvon Boykin QB TCU
    6. Braxton Miller WR Ohio State....been a long time since a WR won it, I believe Tim Brown of ND is the last one. But even if he doesn't win it if he finishes in NYC for the ceremony and the two guys with healthy shoulders who occupy the job he really wanted don't make it. I guess that would be the Universe paying Braxton Miller a compliment on his character and tenacity to go along with his skills.

Duh....He is writing his apology letter to all Cane fans in advance for the butt kicking the Huskers are going to receive this weekend.....

"Dearest Ralph, please forgive me for the years of ignorance, how could I have ever thought your Canes were not the most dominant team".....

You know something like that I'm sure 8)

CAL 6 1/2 point favorite in Austin. Don't know what to expect, Zaire a QB not known for his throwing lit up the Texas defense, CAL has a QB who is known for his throwing. I hope it's not a repeat of week 1.

Top 10 Story Lines for Week 3

Interesting read. #1 on the list is the battle between UCLA's Josh Rosen and BYU's Tanner Mangum also a freshman....but I think he went on a mission so he has 2 kids and is 23 y/o. :)

    Rough week.

RU coach suspended for interfering with a student athletes professor, even after he was told not to do so. I'm not sure why they haven't fired him.

That kid was one of the 5 athletes that were arrested a couple of weeks ago.

Purdue had 2 freshmen football players arrested for stealing bicycles.

Some OU players had to apologize for flipping off Tenn fans at the end of the game in Knoxville last week.

Piece of Trivia....if Ole Miss defeats Alabama they will be the first team since Notre Dame in the early 70's to beat a top 5 Alabama team in back to back seasons. Not happening though.

I think Bama will have to claw and scrape themselves to a Sabanesque win at home.... 27-24 Bammer.

Spurrier is 4-1 vs. Ga. in the past five years...... make it 4-2
    38-17 Dawgs

Upset special!! BC 22 FSU 17

Upset special thwarted.... Gators 28-21 over UK late score does it.

LSU rolls Auburn..... where is that Muschamp D? 42-17 Yellow and Purple

Ga Tech too much for injury depleted ND.... tough luck 'o the Irish 31-27

Golden years at Miami might be done if Big Al can't get something done this year starting this week so.... UM 33-24 over Nebraska... see article below from the Miami Herald this week:

"None of the ranked teams he’s beaten finished ranked. He’s 30-22 overall, 18-20 against FBS Power 5 conference teams and 0-12 against teams that finished ranked in the AP poll. He’s 0-4 against Florida State (but don’t forget that Butch Davis was 1-5 vs. FSU). UM has never won the ACC crown."

Bring on the MAC says the nation's best team 48-10 Buckeyes

Cal strikes a stake in Charlie's heart..... 31 -24 over the 'Horns

USC fights on by trampling Stanford 41-10

    I think Bama wins handily.

    As do the Gators.

    Pertain indeed stars 0-3.

Georgia did beat Florida once while Spurrier was the coach.

Bruins are 16.5 point favorites over BYU at the Rose Bowl. I agree. The Cougs are in big trouble in this one unless they get a heroic game from that QB...
