Wow...was that fun. 49-3 at the half tells you all you need to know about how this game went. The new digs are awesome, but still have a few bugs to work out. The PA system was unintelligible in either end of the stadium, and folks on the sidelines said they had a hard time with it as well. That was the only "fix it" item I've heard of. The weather was pleasant, and the team kicked butt. The 3rd teamers and walkons played the entire second half which allowed Ball St some success, but also gave our subs a lot of tape to work from. They managed to get 104k in for this first game... not bad for a little sliver of East Texas.
Great looking venue Scott! The bugs can be worked out, now if the Aggies can only score a few more points.
One of my hygienist and her husband went to the game as guest of some big cigars and sat in those new boxes. They had that big hotdog..said it was great and if you can afford those new boxes are the way to go! So Scott...going to continue to rotate QB's?
No rotation in this game. Kyle Allen took it from the start... clubbed Ball St over the head with a bunch of scoring drives and then left shortly before halftime for his shower. Murray got in and it was obvious they wanted him to work on PASSING. He stayed back and didn't run (other than to avoid the rush) and tried to learn how to read a college secondary. He threw two nice longish balls for TD's (one was called back for ineligible down field) and overall looked better tossing the rock. He's still got a lot to learn, and I wish he could have redshirted, but I'm sure that was part of the deal to get him to bypass baseball...
