Coach Mac says both Grier and Harris will play.... like they did last week.

I liked what I saw last week from Grier.... and I do think he may wind up distancing himself from Harris.... but not by much.

Call this a mini-Ohio State problem.

The Aggie Dog must be a loge box exclusive. I can't imagine it fitting anywhere else that it could be eaten, even sharing it with four grubby people.

    Nope.
I opted for two additional seats instead of "upgrades".

    It cost me less!!!!

I suspect I'll have to try that dog. Kesley has gotten fat enough to be able to help.

Auburn can thank their lucky stars today. Miffed punt by punter allowed Auburn to score and win in OT.

It's been a whole half hour and I've yet to hear the phrase "Luck of the Irish" but I'm sure I eventually will.

That wasn't luck, that was a stone cold strike for a TD. Luck would have been if the DB tipped it up and Fuller had caught it on his back on the ground in the endzone.

Well, a lot of heavily favored teams either lost or eked out a win. Arkansas lost, Auburn almost lost, Tennessee up on Oklahoma, Notre Dame almost lost. Alabama won by a lot but looked like crap doing it. We still don't have a good qb. We have 2 very good rb's if Kiffin will just use them. I love college football. 8)

Tom Herman is going to make a great Hed Coach for Houston. That win over Louisville yesterday was no fluke, believe me.

Buckeyes did some sleep walking yesterday, but won 38-0 over Hawaii. I think we were so intent on winning at VT, that we left most of our effort there in Blacksburg?

Pretty entertaining game last night as the Spartans got by the Ducks. Oregon has lost a lot with Mariota gone. Sparty may well be the second best team in the B1G but it looks like a distant second.

Well it was an exciting weekend that's for sure.

    Notes...

Texas maybe found a QB, and offense and a spark. Sure Rice is not a great team but they are a solid squad and they gave the horns a good game. Texas got some quick scores on turnovers and special teams. But still you can't have watched that game and not thought, OK we've got a spark of something to work with. The new guy, didn't have a coming out party like Johnny Football, but for his first start, I liked what I saw. Still a long way to go, OL has to get better, whole team has to get better. But there was a spark, not the beaten down demoralized team that left South Bend.

Irish: That was a terrible blow for Zaire, it was his time. Now it's the next guy up's time. If that guy has a good maybe great season, Zaire may never get his job back. Biggest worry IMHO is the defense and the 3rd down offense.

Mich State: Great game, the Oregon offense was just a little off last night, not as fast as with Marcus and not as explosive. The new guy is 5' 9" and Marcus was what 6'3" or something, and he was faster than the new guy. The new guy missed some recievers that Marcus would have hit, the offense didn't run as fast but they still gave MSU all they could handle. State did look very solid on both sides of the ball though and should have a great season.

Nobody is talking much about BYU, but they beat a pretty good Boise State team and did it just the same way they beat Neb. Many thought if Boise got by BYU they would run the table. Now maybe BYU is poised to run the table. If they do they could get into the conversation for the playoffs.

Anybody notice that Illinois fired their coach right before the season and in the first 2 games have outscored their opponents 96-3? Doesn't mean a lot because they were both cream puffs. But still.

Auburn, when JSU came out backed up and just tried to run as much clock as they could..that's conventional wisdom. I was thinking, geezus man this is like your one shot, go for it..do more than run the damn ball take a chance. Of course running the ball might have worked if their punter doesn't just shank one. BTW I never got what JSU did to get backed up, I'll bet it was a SEC ref saying ...nope not going to make it easy for you guys.

Arkansas. I loved it, I'm not a big Bilema fan.

Ohio State. Didn't watch it but if Jones sat down that means Barnett got in the game...so are we back to who starts next weekend.

Michigan; Team looked solid, I think Harbaugh is going to get it done sooner rather than later. And if his demeanor at Stanford where he got in Pette's face and rubbed his nose in the dirt when he had the chance to that incident with the Lions coach after 49ner's game...well I expect him to personally challenge Urban Meyer in some way shape or form. Just like he did Pete Carrol.

Gator, besides what Bill posted regarding his open letter to the students...I liked the way he chewed that kids ass all over the sideline who did the throat slashing after a big play...and followed it up with an empassioned statement that said they were the most penalized team in college the last 10 years and that's going to stop. I'm not a big fan of hot dogging football players, people who like it say well it's just kids let them have fun. I say sure hug your teammates but showing up the other team is just classless. Look at me!!! I esp hate when after getting beat for a 20 yd completion and finally making a tackle they jump up and trash talk. Gimme a break. I like this new Gator coach!

Some movement in the polls but not a lot. Everybody in the polls except Wisconsin is undefeated. That's start to change every week.
