I understand this young QB has committed to an institution in Texas. A&M, not sure who that is exactly? Apples and Melons maybe? Any word from Scott? :p

Yep, I got word from Scott as soon as the info was confirmed. He thinks he's pretty spiffy sniping talent out of the PAC hunting grounds.

Aggies loading up I guess on midget QB's! He like Kyler Murray, is under 6' and naturally going to be the next Johnny Football!

Obviously a great pickup though for A&M as he is highly rated and he does play for a power house team in Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. His main receiver last year was Snoop Dooggs kid. ;)

C'mon Don, everybody knows apples don't do well in Texas.

I'm very pleased to get this kid. He was Sumlin's primary target and does remind a lot of folks of Johnny.

    Terry,
I'll take a midget QB over a DB pretender all day long!
    :D

It's going to be interesting to see how the QB works out for you guys.

Obviously Murray is likely to play this year since behind Allen he's the only scholarship QB right? So esp in the Ball State and Nevada games he'll see action and if he really lights it up in those two games then you might have a QB controversy and I can't see Murray riding the pine for 2015 and 2016 if Allen continues to be the QB we saw in the bowl game. But if he does and doesn't start till 2017 and plays 2 years then that means Martell will be sitting for 3 years before he gets the helm. 3 5 star QB's, on paper awesome..managing their action on the field kind of tough and somebody might transfer. Of course it gets tougher even if Allen stays all 4 years and has an excellent career.

But I have to admit I'd like that problem! :)

    Not so fast Terry...

We also signed Jake Hubenak from Blinn.
As a RS freshman he led the NJCAA with more than 4,000 passing yards.
He knows he won't be the man unless something weird happens, but he's very capable if it does.

It's always tricky to have a gaggle of good QB's but if anyone can juggle them successfully, Sumlin will make it work.

I suspect Murray will play this year, but Allen is staying sharp and so far has not allowed his job to be taken.

Like you said... it's a great problem to have.
