But you won't, because Bush did it instead of Clinton. if anyone can read this article in today's NYT without realizing how totally corrupt - how lost - the GOP has become in its desire to keep power, then I'm afraid nothing will make a difference. When looking for pathetic justifications trumps national security as blatantly as it appears in this case, you can't be trusted anymore. Maybe you can spin how it's OK to post "basic plans for building a nuclear bomb" on a web site. I'm sure many true believers will do so. All I know is if this happened under the Anti-Christ's administration, those same people would be looking for a sturdy tree to hang Slick Willie on. These clowns need to go.
Well, you've already indicted, tried and executed us without the benefit of us even reading the article. Just for shits and giggles, would you care to post a link? Then we can respond.
Here is your link, TB...maybe if you wouldn't start out your topics by insulting the hell out of us we could have some halfway cordial discourse. Tailback's Link
This is another November surprise issue to get the topic of conversation on how incompetent the administration is by allowing these documents to be posted. Lost completely in the conversation will be the fact that these prove that Sadaam's regime was... TRYING TO GET THE BOMB....OH YEAH!....REMEMBER THE WMD THING???....BUSH LIED PEOPLE DIED?????EXCUSE ME????
TB, no doubt that material was more safe in the hands of Hussein's Iraq.....after all what did he ever do to hurt anybody. Gimme a freakin' break here.....they b!tch and moan about lying, not finding anything that could justify military action, etc, etc, etc, then they b!tch and moan when volumes of evidence are made available for all to see.....WTF? You can't have it both ways. The Left is looking foolish with this one.....
I like TB but he certainly is a loose cannon. I've learned to let his non-GA-football words go in one ear and out the other.
My fault about the link not showing up. Someone had posted this note on another forum and I agree exactly with what he said. I copied his post and put it here. I wanted your replies as to how you could defend your guy. I should've made sure the link worked.
Buckeye, Just as I thought, Bush is at no fault with you. Had Clinton done this we would hear you right wingers complain 10 years from now. Carry on...
I believe that it was a mistake to set up that site and post those documents. I believe that those pushing to throw them up on the web did not believe that they contained nuclear secrets but were merely proof of the Iraqi involvement in trying to procure and develope WMD. When you call a guy a liar often enough, he just might feel like sharing his proof with you. These documents have been available to Dems on the security committees, yet they still have jumped on the "Bush Lied" bandwagon. The whole thing is another byproduct of our tendency to now politicize absolutely everything. (Both sides, mind you)
I haven't found anything else about this other than the NY Times article. It certainly is a mistake to post any information that could aid anyone in making an atomic weapon. I'm certain that was not the intent and will await the inevitable follow up to see just exactly what harm was done. The immediate effect though would be to debunk, once and for all, that Iraq was not a threat and that there were no WMDs.
TB, if that is the most significant conclusion that you can find from that material and the response of the lefties than our problems are larger than I've ever imagined.....may God help us. At what point did political concerns and partisan gains become more important than the safety and well-being of our citizens and way of life? I'm not certain when it happened but I am certain that it has happened.
