Didn't see this coming, Biden about to throw his hat in the ring. Obama thinks it's a good thing, wants a spirited contest for the nomination.

Hillary is no doubt enthused. :)

You guys may think I'm crazy, but I believe that Biden is capable of beating Hillary. Of course, he's not running......yet.

I Joe runs, the witch will have to spend some of her many millions in Democratic primaries. It's going to take hundreds of millions in ads to overcome that caustic, detached personality of hers.

So, the main contributing reason for some good ole boy to have not assonated O'Bummer (Biden would become president) is now running for president. Since when did he decide to help the Republicans get back in office?

This whole election sucks a bag of dicks. It's the worst election since maybe Carter-Ford and I think both of those 2 are better than anything on the field we have to choose from....

    :p

Trump is currently winning for the Republicans, and he's not even a Republican! Over the last 20 years, he's given millions of dollars to BOTH Clintons. He's also said that if he doesn't get the nomination, he'll run as a third party candidate. This would guarantee a win for the Democrats.

I will vote for the best candidate wo I think can do the job. If you are currently in Congress I hold that against you.

My personal short list going into the debate consists of Kasich, Fiorina, Carson, Walker, Christie and Trump.... in that order.

Three that I would never vote for are Bush, Rubio and Huckabee.

    The rest ? Blecchh.

I have no party affiliation after 40 years as a Republican.

I have to agree with what Jimmy Carter recently commented on the other day That the U.S. Is No Longer a Democracy.

On July 28, Thom Hartmann interviewed former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, and, at the very end of his show (as if this massive question were merely an afterthought), asked him his opinion of the 2010 Citizens United decision and the 2014 McCutcheon decision, both decisions by the five Republican judges on the U.S. Supreme Court. These two historic decisions enable unlimited secret money (including foreign money) now to pour into U.S. political and judicial campaigns. Carter answered:

It violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it's just an oligarchy with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or being elected president. And the same thing applies to governors, and U.S. Senators and congress members. So, now we've just seen a subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect, and sometimes get, favors for themselves after the election is over. ... At the present time the incumbents, Democrats and Republicans, look upon this unlimited money as a great benefit to themselves. Somebody that is already in Congress has a great deal

First of all Carter forgets that when the American political system was "made" it provided that the government would be selected by male land owners. That meant that the people who paid the taxes would select who spent the money. Today we have the exact opposite. The folks who get the most freebies from tax money select who gets to spend it.
I think that what changed American politics forever was the proliferation of television. Prior to that time Americans got their campaign information from printed media and attending political speeches. Today, campaigns are one minute sound bites. A large portion of the populace gets it's "information" from satirical liberal comedy shows. The average high school graduate knows more about diversity and alternative lifestyles than about American government and the history of this country. When you know the courage and sacrifice that it took to make this such a great country you resent those that downplay its accomplishments and deliberately weaken it out of spite.
One thing to consider is, there is a constant outcry about income inequality in this country. But, if you're a politician and getting millions from the super rich, why would you even do anything that would prevent the golden goose from laying eggs?
