I'm sure by now all of you are aware of the video of DiAndre Johnson punching out a chick at a bar in Tallahassee. Before that video was released Jimbo Fisher just had him on indefinite suspension, after the video he dropped him from the Program. So now he's got a lawyer who's giving out all sorts of information. 1. DiAndre is sorry and takes responsibility. 2. DiAndre was really the victiim, as she called him a racial epithat and kneed him in the groin before taking a swing at him. He was just defending himself. 3. He's doing volunteering at a Battered Womens shelter. But remember he's the victim here, just trying to do the right thing. Nobody has even mentioned that at 19 he was in a bar probably not sipping soda's. In Texas most bars won't let under 21's in just to keep it simple with who they can serve and who they can't serve. Is that the way it's done in Florida as well? Oh well at least he didn't steal any crab legs. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/07/lawyer-woman-hurled-racial-slurs-prior-to-ex-fsu-qbs-punch/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs Fulmer Cup is in the home stretch now since the kids have to report back into the clutches of the coaches early August.

Really? In my worst moment, it never would occur to me to punch a woman who was hitting me. Lawyers are smart people (Witness our resident gipper  ), but there are times when defense lawyers say really dumb things, thinking they are making a credible case for their clients.
Ok... in watching the video I came away thinking she was very combative for the little interaction that seemed to occur..... but.... she's still a woman and you don't punch women. He should have just backed away while muttering effing crazy bitch..... etc.
Just listening to local sports talk there is some support for him on the basis that the law shouldn't take into account gender. That if it were a man instead of a white/blonde chick this wouldn't really be a big deal and Jimbo wouldn't have dismissed him from the program.
If a drunk asshole at the bar balls up a fist and takes a swing at ya then what would happen? Maybe Corey could answer this one.... LOL But on the other hand if it was a big drunk asshole at the bar that took that errant swing at ya you might just back away muttering effing crazy bastard.
Sorry guys but my following comments may ostracize me from your thought process but I have no issues with a man defending himself from a woman, none so ever to be exact and raised my offspring the same way. This being said my 31st wedding anniversary was yesterday and I have never laid a hand on my best friend in life and high school sweetheart. I am the description of a Southern gentleman as I hold doors open for all ladies and treat them with the upmost respect as God intended but chivalry is most definitely a cultural ideology. I for one consider woman equal in all aspects in this journey called life and tough as nails in childbirth and other aspects but have no critical judgement for anyone defending themselves from a man, woman, bear, lion, dog etc......
Thank you kindly Sid, my goal was to get lucky after working all day but we had an over talkative contractor visit us about work we want done and by 9:00 pm that thought was just that....
My 2 cents: He certainly demonstrated that he could keep his poise after getting hit and being called a name. That occasionally happens on the football field. What was missing was proportionality. If after she hit him in the face he'd slapped her it wouldn't have bothered me that much. A right cross was way out of line.
Well that's about right I'll be 135 in the year 2100 so I'm advocating stints, drugs and bionics to make it happen. Then I can die smiling
Well another FSU football player is accused of hitting a woman in an incident outside a downtown bar.
