I'll be curious as to what impact it will have. I do think that some kids who are super committed to schools will do it. ND has a couple of kids like OL Tommy Kraemer who I would be surprised if he didn't sign his LOI. Every school has kids like this, they'd have signed a LOI on the day they gave their verbal. But there are a lot of kids out there who I don't think will, these are the kids who are verbals to a school but still taking visits and "keeping their options open". This week at ND we have a kid named Perry who is a averbal to the Gators but he'll be at a big recruiting event at Notre Dame, some say he might flip to the Irish. These kids won't want to cut off the recruiting. They want to keep taking visits. I think this is going to be the majority of the kids. I also hope the rules will allow for early LOI kids to opt out if the coaching staff is fired/lets go that they committed to in Dec. Granted we always say you shouldn't commit to a coach you commit to a school, but still I think they should have the option when a HC change is made, not for assistants/position coaches though. http://collegefootball.ap.org/article/early-signing-period-football-close-becoming-reality
