Yeah but you know how high the cost of living is in Lubbock, you know cleaning the sand out of everything! I do hope this money is spent well by the athletes to actually take care of things they have been complaining about, like not enough money to get food or be able to take your girlfriend to the movies and dinner. I fear however that much of the money will be spent frivolously on tat's, beer, partying, bling, etc. I also don't think this is the end of the story. Next target will be more money, and for sure allowing the kids to market themselves, to be able to endorse products, make paid media appearances, etc. It's the first of many can's of worms being opened.
