Rick Barnes Era at Texas is over.... Greg Marshall and Shaka Smart are the apples of the Eyes of Texas.
Barnes looks rather haggard and has aged considerably in the last few years. His firing is certainly not a surprise. Badgers crush Airzona's dream again this year. Sean Miller has to be wondering if he will ever make the Final Four?
Well Barnes did a lot for Texas basketball, but it was time. Now we'll see if Texas can money whip Alabama for either Marshall or Smart. I do think Marshall might be a better fit coming from Wichita State than Smart from the east coast. Hey how about the Irish going toe to toe with Kentucky... tied at the half.
 since I cant watch the dodgers I have been watching college basketball... had to learn the sport from Jimmy. never really got into it. now I love to watch it. especially my IRISH
The lads left it all out there on the floor. Great game, maybe the best so far in the tournament. In the end they just had too much height. That one kid was just unstoppable and there other big men got a lot of put backs on the offensive boards. Great season for the Irish.
Probably one of the greatest games in NCAA Tournament history. I really thought the Irish were going to do the impossible.
Capilari's explanation about his teams performance "we have a lot of freshmen out there." Is he ******* kidding? Poor Brey got stuck with real students.
I'm very, very proud of this Irish team. I don't feel like Notre Dame has to explain anything. The breaks went against them at the end. Things like this happen in a single elimination tournament. So why is Kentucky still giving explanations?
I'll give Kentucky players credit, they played a great game, they acted like gracious winners after the game they don't play like thugs or anything. Cal could have been more gracious as a winner rather than saying they played poorly and that they played freshmen. He should have just given the Irish their due and praised his players. In a close game like this the team that loses always has some what if's, but as I said before Irish left it all out there on the court, no hanging heads, no regrets, they gave all. Should have doubled down on Towns, well in the final few minutes when they did that was when Kentucky hit 2 big three's. Kentucky hit their free throws. Did you see that Kentucky big run the whole floor with Grant making sure he didn't get off an easy shot at the end. Barkley pointed out something significant. Kentucky bigs with the exception of Towns aren't very good offensively..they get their points off of slams, tips, offensive rebounds, Irish were 6'5" vs 3 7 footers...it wore them down. Jackson couldn't do anything those guys were in his way the whole night blocking his drives and altering his shots. We had to play a perfect game and we almost did. We were iron men, all 5 starters played nearly the whole game only Bonzi Colson got 13 minutes Kentucky got nearly 50 minutes from it's reserves. Congrats to the team, they didn't go to the final four but they had a great season and accomplished way more than anybody thought the could. When Grant took the ball and raced up the court, I was hoping for a Danny Ainge moment...but Kentucky was having none of that. Congrats to the Cat's. Wisconsin/Kentucky could be a helluva game.

Congrats...great game and season. Just wow. I almost looked like a genius...if you check out my bracket you'll see I had the Irish beating Kentucky.
