    I didn't see him play in person, but I lived in South Jersey across the river from Philadelphia from 1956-61. He was Mr. Eagles. A two-way player who never wore a face mask until they became mandatory. He has to be one of the toughest guys ever to play the game.

    I saw the time he almost killed Frank Gifford on NFL Films. The players on both sides thought Gifford was gone. It was the most famous tackle in NFL history.

    Gifford didn't play for a year after that hit.

    BTW what are those posts on the goal line and isn't it illegal to kick fg's and XP straight on with your toe? :D

    Kyle did go to SMU was a teammate of Doak Walker. Tobin Rote went to Rice and was Kyles cousin.
